Most Helpful Positive Review Quality 45 BCG
I bought this bolt carrier for my latest 45 build and couldn’t be more pleased. Quality is evident in the fit and finish with even coating and nice clean machining lines. Function has been flawless through several hundred rounds now. I would definitely recommend Stern Defense bolt carriers.

Best BCG for 45 I could find

This is used in a Pro2a and Tacfire 45acp uppers, and functions dependably in both. No misfeeds or problems cycling in either. Very well built. Much better than the Tacfire version which came with one of my uppers, that one constantly misfed hollow points and jammed. Switched to this Stern one and all those problems disappeared.

Good Quality BCG

Using on a Foxtrot Mike build. Feeds like a dream with the right mags. But beware, I was using the recommended 11oz buffer I got at Midway and it was too short. The faux gas key was hitting the lower receiver and sheared off. Totally my fault. Reached out to Stern before I figured it out and they did contact me back. I will be replacing it with another Stern if still in stock.

Great bolt

I live in Cali, so I had to use a Mag-Ad, and the Stern was my choice from reputation, and their reputation holds true. Great quality bolt. If you are using the Stern Mag-Ad, you HAVE to use this bolt. The Stern Mag-Ad takes S&W mags, so you are limited in mag capacity. I was using a Foxtrot bolt and it would jam pretty much every shot. Save yourself the frustration, get this bolt if you are going to use their Mag-Ad. You will also need their 11oz buffer.

  • Plinking, home defense
