Most Helpful Positive Review TLR 6 Hellcat
This TLR 6 is just what you need for the hellcat OSP I couldn’t be happier. If the power goes out the light is all you’ll need for home defense and the laser is amazing too! I have recommended this light to several friends and they too are happy with it
Most Helpful Negative Review I've jad this for less than 24 hours and it doesn't work.
My tlr-6 just arrived yesterday. I opened the package and excitedly put it on my hellcat. Im not sure if there is a short in it somewhere or if it just came with bad or old batteries. I'm going to try and hooe its just the batteries because i really dont want to have to go through all the hassle of ...

not recommend for springfield hellcat, doenst fit

by me, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on December 7, 2023
This product functions as should, but upon trying to install on springfield hellcat, there was a half inch gap between the trigger guard and light. It doesn’t fit and description needs to be updated

Great for Home Defense

by Noah T, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on March 19, 2023
Every time I use this light, I realize just how much more I love it.

You know, 100 lumens doesn't sound like a lot, but, for what I use it for, it's certainly enough. I'd say as long as you're within 20 yards outdoors in low-light conditions or within any normal residential distance indoors, this light is perfect for scanning, searching, navigating, and identifying threats. I don't think it'll blind anyone, but it'll certainly provide you with enough information to decide how you want to proceed with whatever you're dealing with. The light has a nice hotspot and has more of a focus on a concentrated beam, while also providing some flood to give you some scope of situational awareness in the direction that you're looking. Overall, I think it's a great option for the money and form factor.

If I had any complaints it would be:
1) The battery type is uncommon, thus harder to source/replace. Battery life is good, but finding a replacement may or may not be difficult. I understand why it was chosen, it's just not as easily findable.

2) The laser point of aim can shift slightly, when pressing the activation buttons. Not a huge deal because you'll still easily be hitting whatever you're aiming at, at the distances you'll be using this thing for, but it should be noted. Not surprising, given the mounting method and that the housing is plastic instead of metal, but it's worth mentioning. I only notice it because I have a red dot mounted and I noticed that the laser would be shifted...

Good light accessory for your pistol

by Pistol Pete, from FL, United States Written on March 11, 2023
The TLR6 is a good accessory for my pistol. Easy to install. Fits well. Easy to zero. Great light for illuminating night targets and the laser helps aiming with my eyesight at night. And I can have both the light and laser on at the same time or just one or the other. I’ve read reviews that the battery compartment opens when drawing the pistol from a holster but I did not experience that with my holster. That said, not many specific tlr holsters exist for the Hellcat and I didnt like the ones I’ve tried, so I’m still searching for one for my EDC that works for me. Thats the limitation of this product…I enjoy the light but I’m looking for a holster that will give me a custom fit with my tlr installed.
Pros:
  • bright light
  • Easy to install
  • Good fit
  • Easy to zero
  • works well
Cons:
  • Not many aftermarket holsters accommodate my pistol and tlr combo

Stopped working

by Michael Blessing, from MN, United States Written on October 28, 2022
I have used Streamlight products for over 20 years, professionally. This was was for my off duty carry Hellcat. I had it just a short time, and it stopped working. The laser/ light itself works, and when mounted in another case, it works great. But there's something not right with the housing for the Hellcat. It absolutely will not work when the battery cover is closed. I experimented by swapping out the laser/ light unit with other TLR-6 lights, none of them will turn on when in the Hellcat housing, and they all work in other housings. It's pretty weird deal. It seems like the battery cover compresses the batteries TOO much, preventing it from working. I did contact Streamlight and they said they are sending me a replacement housing. We will see how that goes.

Worst light ever

by Pyroking, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on March 16, 2022
First, I love streamlight. The Tlr6 however, is completely useless. Really mad that I wasted money on a holster and light that I will never be able to use. Cheap, unsecured battery compartment has no real retention. It WILL snap open when you draw from a holster and your batteries WILL drop to the floor. This design is irresponsible and is going to get someone killed.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • No latch or screw on battery compartment
  • Battery compartment does not stay shut
  • Batteries fall out every time pistol is drawn from holster
Best Used for:
  • Losing a life or death fight

TLR-6 attatchment

by Dom, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on February 11, 2022
The laxer light is a snug fit on my hellcat. The TLR-6 is built rugged and it’s not too bright or too dim. The problem with a lot of these lights is they make em too bright to the point where the light reflects off of light colored walls. Highly recommend and worth the $80

by TerboAZ, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on August 6, 2021
No issues. Used a bit of loktite on screws (as we always should). Been dropped and still no issues. Great amidex button for laser and light.
It's not the brightest but for the price... it's great. Fits snug. I highly recommend.

  • Price and install ease
Cons:
  • None

Stream light Tlr6 light/laser

by Rick, from NY, United States Written on July 14, 2021
Unit flew off my Hellcat Springfield after the 2nd shot……I reinstalled it and it lasted 3 shots before it fell off ! There is no picatinny rail type system….mere friction does not hold unit in place due to recoil. I can not believe Streamlight would have such a terrible design! Did no one test this setup???
Pros:
  • nice concept
Cons:
  • Does not work as described !

Can't adjust laser, adjustment screw came stripped

by Andy, from TX, United States Written on June 12, 2021
Ok so the flashlight part works just fine and is the only light I could find to fit my Hellcat. Looks great mounted on it and functions fine after about 150 rds at the shooting range. I really only wanted a light and the laser was just an added bonus. But the laser adjustment screw/hole that you turn with the included hex tool was stripped and won't rotate at all. I needed to change the elevation on it but can't so I ended up just not using the laser mode. Also please know that the light worked before I mounted it. Then I mounted it first time and I must've pinched something or it was loose somewhere because it didn't turn on after then took it off and attached it again. Then it worked on 2nd try and has worked since then.
Pros:
  • Light works great
Cons:
  • Laser couldn't be adjusted
