Its A Mount
Its A Mount. It Works. It Didn't Fall Off.
Its M-LOK, So Yeah.
Does not fit Daniel Defense RIS III handguard
The angle of the mount does not clear the profile of the DD RIS III handguard. Will not sit flush and can't engage the m-lok. Will fit other handguards with no issues so I can't say it's a bad mount.

INCLUDED IN PROTAC 2.0 KIT
I had bought this because the description on one of the protac 2.0’s didn’t specify that it came with an mlok mount. It did. Mounts fine. I am returning this though

Absolutely trash
Have used arisaka mounts pretty much my life. Figure i try and save money and use this being hpw it's streamlight which I use for patrol all the time. Mounted it the first time and as soon as tried to tighten either of the screws they stripped broke. Did not over tighten or anything mount wasnt even seated yet until the screw stripped. Waste of money

Mounted with a Pro Tac HLX
This is a great mount, especially for the price. I mounted it in the 11 o'clock position with a Pro Tac HLX at the last mlock at the front of my handguard. With an inch from my handguard to the end of my barrel threads and the addition of my muzzle device, it brought the light to just about a half inch behind the end of my muzzle device which is fine for me, no splash whatsoever. The mount is solid but it is important to note, when mounting in the 11 o'clock or 1 o'clock, with the way the Pro Tac HLX is flared at the side where the screw mounts, one side will get in the way of attaching things to your top picatinny. So I marked with a sharpie the area I needed to clear and grinded it down flush to the mount with a bit of a bevel inward to be sure i would have amply space between my light and my top rail attachments. I used a dremel with a metal grinding bit to start and get the bulk of material off and a low grit sand paper bit to finish it. Covered it with some paint and the look and fitment is perfect! If you are someone who likes that clean, factory look, take your time and use higher grit to finish, but if you are someone like me who paints their rifles, you will never know. Overall, very clean and fits the light very tight to the gun. No complaints.
Pros:
- Solid, lightweight, good hardware
Cons:
- Depending on the specific light you use and where you mount it, you may have to do some extra finishing
Best Used for:
- Mlock and streamlight products

fits nicely on my FPC
I mounted this on my FPC, though i may have to reposition it once i get the flashlight in. Easy to install on the M-Lok system on the hand guard.

Test fit it on my FPC
I've yet to order the light itself but test fit the mount and it attached easily and securely to the M-lok slot. Once I get the light I will find a more permanent location for it on the rifle.

- None
Cons:
- None noted so far.

Fits like a glove!
Nicely made adaptor that helps to bring your light in a little tighter versus a QD or knob style base. I would highly recommend this item.

Works well!
Using this bracket you can place your light anywhere that may be needed on your long gun. It is robust and easy to install on any m lock rail.

Excellent Value
It's no Arisaka, but it's definitely worth the sub $30 asking price in comparison.
I mean, it makes sense for SL to produce a budget aftermarket mount for their budget lights. Wish I'd found this before I went through several high dollar name brand mounts.
I like the way this fits the PT-RM 1 better than any of the arisaka mounts... gives the little recess for the step in the mounting base of the light to nestle down into.
Docked one star in the fit department, as it didnt quite seat tight down perfect to the Dark Hour Defense HG on my rifle. That said, I tested it on several other hg's and it fit fine. May not fit on larger diameters, though, YMMV. Also, the mount is a bit blocky in comparison to the Arisaka equivalent, but that's likely where you're saving your money.
I'd absolutely buy this mount again for any future SL weaponlight that can use it. I would absolutely buy the arisaka for something like a Cloud Defensive or Surefire light... though I think this mount would work there too, I just don't know why youd spend on the light and not the mount.
Save some dough with Streamlight!
