Most Helpful Positive Review Terrific little light!
Small, super bright, lightwethThis little light throws a beam of light you'd expect from a much bigger flashlight. I was really impressed with how bright and convenient it was to use. The soft rubber on/off switch is easy to find and it's so lightweight, you'll forget you've got it clipped to your s...

Streamlight micro is a must have

by Huntnmo, from MO, United States Written on January 8, 2021
I love this light. So much so that I’ve bought 3 because I’ve managed to lose a couple others. These lights put out crazy amounts of light for how small they are. I’ll never buy or use a headlamp again. The clip on the light makes them obsolete because this is so much lighter and versatile. I use it when I’m getting hunting gear rounded up early in the AM, use it for work during dark hours, and use it when I’m working on vehicles.
Pros:
  • Light, bright, tough
Cons:
  • easy to lose
Best Used for:
  • Replaces headlamp

Super Useful - EDC

by None used, from CA, United States Written on October 30, 2019
Super handy and easily fits in any pocket. Everyone used to kid me about carrying a flashlight all-the-time! Stopped when the guys got their own! Isn’t super bright but great for short range use!

Received mine as a gift seven years ago.

It’s not waterproof. Accidentally got it wet. Dried-itself in about a week. Works fine.
Pros:
  • Short-range use.
Cons:
  • Not waterproof
Best Used for:
  • EDC

Streamlight Microstream excellent for pocket carry

by Byron, from FL, United States Written on June 24, 2019
I bought this flashlight to carry with me at work or where ever else I want a small easy to carry light. I clip it on/in my pocket and I don't even know it is there. It is typical Streamlght top quality and while not super bright like a tactical light, it is outstanding for a very small flashlight.

Great small light

by Bad addresses, from GA, United States Written on January 3, 2018
I had been using a generic, big-box-store-bought light but I grew tired of the large bevel. This is small, lightweight, and bright. Works well enough for peering into the back of a truck. Imtalking lite to moderate dock receiving use, not for constant inspections or custom work. Uses a trip A battery.
Pros:
  • Slim. Lightweight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • EDC

Small, handy, lightweight light

by Greg, from TN, United States Written on December 23, 2016
The Streamlight Microstream is a surprisingly powerful for its size, and it runs on readily-available AA batteries. It has a button-switch on the end-cap for easy one-hand activation, and it comes with a handy lanyard so that you can hang it around your neck when you need to have both hands free. It's a great little light to keep in your pocket all the time for those moments when you unexpectedly need a light.

This is essential EDC gear!

by Tattered Remnant, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on April 21, 2016
I was skeptical when I bought the first one of these amazing little gems. Now I seem to keep buying more after giving them away to family and friends. Why? There can always be one clipped into a pocket, ready for use. They are adequately bright for most any emergency. The switch requires a positive push to actuate so I have NEVER had one turned on and the battery expended by accident. They are rugged with a durable finish, waterproof (a friend has run his thru the washer, clipped into his coveralls, three times that I know of. Without harm.), and contrary to some reviews I have seen, mine have survived some pretty hard impacts without notice or even surface damage. But the best recommendation is that they are handy enough that mine is almost always on my person when I need it. Super Gear!

Amazing flashlight for the size

by Tony, from TN, United States Written on February 25, 2016
I use this flashlight more than any other flashlight that I own. I am a security officer for Tennessee State and work nights, so I always need a flashlight on me. For the size, this flashlight is surprisingly bright. I can comfortably walk around a completely pitch black warehouse about the size of a basketball court and be happy with the light output of this flashlight. Any indoor or outdoor space larger than that and I feel that this light would be inadequate. The beam is concentrated well with no artifacts in the light (an artifact being the dark spot that is common with most Mag-Lites). It fits in my front shirt pocket just like a pen would. The battery life is ok- I usually like to change it after about an hour of continuous use. I don't think the 2.5 hour runtime given by Streamlight is realistic.

One issue the accuracy of the description: This website claims that there are high and low output settings for this flashlight. This is not true- only one power setting is available and Streamlight's website with the product documentation for the Microstream can confirm that.

This flashlight is well worth the money. The ratio of the flashlight's light output to size cannot be beat. It is a very bright flashlight for needing only one AAA battery. I promise you will not be disappointed.
