Most Helpful Positive Review Great light, but.....
This light is great. it casts a wide beam but also has a distance punch as well. Bought it because it is rechargeable via USB plug and can also take CR123 batts in an emergency. Very clear with no artifacts or distortions. WHITE LED is great. Mode changes are usable and I set mine to start low and go high. I use mine for working on aircraft and doing walk around inspections. Fully illuminates the tail on a 747. As for going into the woods.....its a daylight make . You will not regret this light on a camping trip for sure. Only issue is this: IF you depend constant availability...

Stream light proTac HL usb

This is my first streAmlight handheld flashlight, but not my first stream light product. I am extremely happy with the way it is well-built. Also the program switch in which has heart and low beams and strobe. Also comes with a soft sheath which will fit great on a belt or in the truck out of the way.
Pros:
  • well built
  • pocket clip
  • bright!
  • soft sheath
Cons:
  • Sent 2 forren charging ports?
  • Thought i was buying a smaller version.
Best Used for:
  • Anything, literally

Great all around light.

This light like all Streamlight products I have owned is well made and a good value. The light has a powerful beam. The USB recharging means I always have my charging cable because now my light, phone, and tablet all use the same one.

Streamlight ProTac HL Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight a must !

Bought this light after reading good reviews and give it 5 stars. Never had a light with this amount of lumens and could not believe the amount of light it gives off compared to other flashlights I've had. The USB rechargeable is just a plus to be able to charge while working on a computer. If you work the night shift outdoors or just are looking for a strong light, I would highly recommend spending the extra money for this. The clip allows to attach in an outer pocket and is not that large.
