Streamlight HP-X Pro

I decided to give this Streamlight a try to finish a shotgun build, and I have to say for the money this isn't a bad choice. I have put 100 or so rounds down range with it and so far it has handled the recoil just fine. No flickering or dimming, and does seem to be pretty solid. Comparing it to one of my scout turbos i feel like the 105,000 candela might be a little stretch, this light does have a good hotspot but my Surefire with less candela still seems to project better. I am also glad I bought it for a shotgun because this is a big weapon light, but overall for the price I am happy with it.

Worth it over HLX

The difference in the candela is huge, light feels rugged and structured for everyday use. Truly would run this on any rifle without worry.

Good but not great!

I was shocked to see that it was made in China, the finish and function operates as it was designed. I purchased this model since it was supposed to be compatible with a dual lead unity switch that I have, the plugs fit and it does operate but the slightest tension on the lead or plug causes it to separate from the light. I have created some strain relief using zip ties and will run it that way for now, worst case scenario I will take the mount off and have another truck light.
