Not for handuns... I purchased this for my AR-15. It puts out a 'laserbeam' style spot enabling it to reach and identify targets out to 100 yards. It also has a nice secondary flood beam good at close range. I didnt expect much out of 200 lumens but the (huge) reflector manages maximize the light...

This is a mixed review. I have several Streamlight products and like the quality and brightness, but the pressure pad remote cord that came with the TLR-1 is too wide to fit any of the vertical grips that have slots for inserting. Great value

I have this installed on my night-time varmint rifle. (Picatinny side rail mount). All features perform as expected. ON/OFF switch right at fingertip of forward hand. Easily extends good hit range to 75+ yards at night. Solid construction, will consider other Streamlight products.

The Great & powerful flashlight

Purchased this Flashlight to be able to hunt in the evening and it has worked out very well. The light is so powerful and well made that I purchased another. It took a few minutes to figure out how to install the Battery so I recommend you read the instructions first.
Pros: Very powerful, easy turn on/ turn off switch & well made

Very bright. I have one mounted on a AR15 and one mounted on a AR10. I can easily see out to 200 yards on a moonless night.

I mounted this light on my mini 14 tactical and it looks like it belongs there right from the factory...I was afraid it would be too big looking, maybe too big of a bell, but it really is not that big...Would look too big for a pistol, but nice on a rifle/carbine. I am glad I bought it.
