Most Helpful Positive Review "Call of Duty" in real life
Been looking at ones for $1500. I had no idea the civilian IR laser would be bright enough. Well this thing is so bright out of 3rd gen NV I can see for 300yds plus! and cant see without NV. I bought IR lens cap for light and now have both IR for the $300 bucks. This is the best buy ever. I own the night. this is the same as "Call of Duty" in real life.

Didn't Work

by Brantley Johnson, Verified Owner from KY, United States Written on June 26, 2023
Did not work under PVS 14s, at all. Tried with batteries that came with item and store-bought brand new batteries. Hot garbage, tried every function. Absolutely pathetic to pay this for a product that does not work at all. Will be returning and will not be getting another.

Weapon light & IR laser

by AK guide, from ID, United States Written on November 28, 2022
This stream Light Works well as I expected. The white light and is very bright. The IR laser exceeds my expectations. Using the laser out to 200 yards is no problem. Hitting an IPSIC target at 200 yards with the laser is no problem.
Pros:
  • good value
Cons:
  • slightly bulky
Best Used for:
  • with nvg's

Streamlight did it again

by Aaron, from OH, United States Written on November 26, 2016
Great product from streamlight! Solid construction not too big not so small the batteries go out after it's turned on.

Only downside is I thought the flashlight was an IR flashlight, but it is a regular light spectrum LED flashlight.

Excellent option for small arms in conjunction with NV goggles.

by NobleToad, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 16, 2016
This rail mounted light offers great flexibility in terms of night time operations where you may be switching between NV goggles and the naked eye during low or no light scenarios. Because most NVGs lack close-up focus to properly distinguish the iron sights of the average pistol, the IR laser offers a quick target acquisition method without compromising stealth or covert position. Streamlight's quality is second to none. I used to have a light-only TLR on my duty pistol while in the Sheriff's office and have since added them to two or three of my concealed carry and home defense sidearms. This is my first IR Streamlight and they seem to have hit a home run in terms of quality and mission adaptability.
Pros:
  • Universal mounting
  • Solidly built
  • Easy, Reliable Access
  • high output light and laser
Cons:
  • pricey, but you get what you pay for
  • slightly larger than typical Streamlight
  • won't work with off the shelf holsters
Best Used for:
  • NV Googles
  • night time scenarios

TLR-2 IRW Streamlight

by Brent, from LA, United States Written on February 20, 2015
Great product as always from streamlight. The ir laser is very bright with the pvs 14.Looked at a lot of different brands and price ranges decided to go with this one because of the other streamlight products I have and how well they have held up through many long nights of chasing pigs around .Works great !
Pros:
  • bright light
  • Bright stong laser
Cons:
  • pricey, but worth it
