Excellent, with one major flaw
I have been nothing but impressed with Streamlight products until now. The windage adjustment screw stripped immediately on the first attempt at adjustment using the included hex wrench. I am in the RMA process now. Reading reviews of Streamlight light + laser combos, this seems to be a common issue...

streamlight junk
Really looking forward to this light. Smaller footprint brighter light than my TLR-2G. What a disappointment. Spend a couple hundred dollars for a light that will not turn on, what a fabulous deal. The light does not work. The green laser turns on. Changed out the batteries, still no luck the ligh...

Excellent product
This laser / light combo performs well. Nice to be able to swap high/low finger switches. Also like the ability to choose combinations of light/laser modes. Easy mounting and zeroing the laser to a chosen distance.

Excellent product
Easy mounting. Opted to change high for low actuating buttons. Zeroing straight forward, bearing in mind, due to paralax, must be set for chosen distance. Sized well for compact and smaller weapons.

Excellent compact laser/light
Fits nicely on my p226. Green laser is visible in the sun. Light is very bright. I like the small compact size the best. Really cuts down the weight compared to older lights.

Great light laser combo
Everyone has the TLR-7. So wanted something different. Plus I like the green laser over tbe red. I had a TLR-6 but the 250 lumens was not enough. So the TLR-8-G was a great choice! 500 lumens is more than I had before a d hits that sweet spot of bright but not too bright! Finding a holster wasn't too hard either.
Pros:
- Light and laser
Cons:
- none so far
Best Used for:
- Home Defense

If you get a good one, they're great. Warranty service is good, just be prepared to use it.
I have this, and other streamlight TLR products, and once I get a good one, they're awesome. However, my experience also jives with every negative comment.
Their warranty process is painless, but include the prospective cost to include cost of priority mail and insurance.
The laser adjustments on all of them have been all over the place in terms of consistency or quality. Some of them are absurdly tight to the point of being unmoveable. Some of them are so loose I worry about it moving. If you adjust it too much in one direction, something goes out of kilter and you cannot get it near center ever again. If you get a good one, cool, adjust it to your zero, and never tempt fate by seeing how far it can move out. If it gets screwed up, or is screwed up out of the box, send it in for warranty repair.
I've had the same issue with the laser working and not the light, and this is probably a documentation problem. I have returned units thinking they were defective, but what is likely the case is that you simply need to press both side buttons simultaneously to switch operation modes. I don't have the manual to reference, but I recall it not being described. If you get a 'blazing deal' or a demo unit, it may be that somebody discovered this mode, or maybe it just got shipped by the factory.
I cannot say that I ever got one that didn't have a key to stay on the rail, but I certainly believe that. The haphazard variance on assembly fit with the laser adjustment suggests th...

No rail keys
Long time streamlight user and buyer. This is specific for the sig p365 x macro sub gun. Does not have any rail keys. None at all. Just clamps to attach to the rail. About 5 shots in and this light/laser walks off the front of the rail and onto the floor. No matter how tight the clamp it continues to walk off. Super disappointed to have such an expensive piece of kit to be for looks only.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
