Nice look but won't stay shut
I really like the way this cover looks. Simple to install. Unfortunately it doesn't want to stay closed. The slightest bump to my AR and the dust cover will pop open. I have a Stag Arms LH Upper which may contribute to some of my problem. I don't recommend it if you have a Stag Upper.
Best dust cover ive come across
Ive loved SI parts for a while, always getting their lower parts kits and other accessories. I decided to grab one of these during a sale to try it out and now I'm hooked. Besides being better looking then the normal dust cover, its a bit beefier, more silent and easy to install. I highly recommend this product (as well as other SI products)

I like how easy strike industries dust covers are, after purchasing one of their polymer dust covers I was glad to see one made of aluminum. It's made from cast aluminum though not billet but so far has not been an issue. The sound reducing rubber pads that come with it to stick on to the cover to reduce sound when opening I find kind of pointless since the rest of the actions when shooting an ar are usually louder than the opening of the dust cover. I installed them anyways just to see if it changed anything and overall I can barely notice a difference when I'm actually trying to listen to the sound but in normal use when shooting the sound of a dust cover opening once doesnt cross my mind with or without the rubber pads installed.

Broken cover
This dust cover is made out of cheap metal. The dust cover broke at the front pin and receiver. Strike industries will not cover it under the warranty. Will be avoiding strike industries from now on! Buy a regular cheap dust cover from a reputable company like BCM or Aero precision.

Fits Sig Sauer MCX Virtus Patrol
It's probably no surprise that it fits the Sig MCX Virtus Patrol since it has so much in common with an AR15 but I thought it would be worth sharing just in case anyone was wondering.

Amazing quality as always
Fantastic product. Easy to install, easy to adjust, functions flawlessly, and looks great. If you can't get this thing to close you might be too stupid to operate firearms. There is a little screw on the top that needs to be depressed with a little screwdriver in order to get the right fitment. A dab of blue Locktite and you're good to go.

didn't fit. poor quality control
i ordered two of these, the FDE fit fine but the black one wouldn't open. i tried it on several rifles (including a LMT rifle) and it had the same issue.

Easy install. Works well.
Installs super easy. Fit and functions is great on my Aero upper. Only issue is the foam stickers that attempt to quiet the cover popping open just fall off eventually. One star off for that. You do get 2 sets of pads with the product, but the cover doesnt make much noise so they're just kind of pointless once you use them up.

looks great but had to custom fit.
I didn't read up on the products to see that it didn't fit aero products. So my fault there, however it does fit for the most part, it just sticks a little. So with some 600 grit sandpaper and less than a minute i found the wear spot holding it up and just polished it a little. It now works flawlessly and the small exposed metal spot is unnoticeable, especially after hitting it with a sharpie.

Strike Industries Ultimate Dust Cover for .223 AR-15 Standard is probably the easiest dust cover to install, it literally only takes one hand. It has an adjustable detent to keep the dust cover closed on the different variations of upper receivers. The dust cover is easy to disassemble the spring in order to paint the cover...just tap out the tiny roll pin. Reassembly is just as easy. In all I highly recommend this dust cover.

How good can a dust cover be? Is it even necessary? I will say it looks fantastic and matches other SI accents on my build. Fit and finish are tops. Is it worth the extra cost? Do not regret purchasing and if you're willing to spend extra for really cool looks I for sure recommend! - By the way, is there another company making similar lines of products with such aesthetically pleasing lines so fierce and futuristic!? I think not...
