ONLY 18 RD MAGS!!
After seeing all the reviews I had a feeling I was gonna have the same but I’m assuming if you have the 18 double stacked mag it will fit with not a single issue I even kept the OEM spring so I can get all 5 extra bullets and it works very well have ran through it a good 5 times last week and the bu...

Works with modification
I've had these extenders for several months now and after reading other reviews i figured I'd share my experience. First off, the design on these are horrible and have to be heavily modified in order to work. I actually took them to a griding wheel and shaved off the rear lip completely in order to ...

Use The Stock / Factory Spring
Other reviews state this doesn't load the extra five rounds, but it 100% does when you use the stock / factory spring. DO NOT USE THE LONGER SPRING STRIKE PROVIDES UNLESS YOU ONLY WANT THREE MORE ROUNDS INSTEAD OF FIVE.
Very easy to install & no issues functioning during use.

looks amazing. Cant fit 23 rounds in it though
Worth the buy. I love the look of it. Feeds properly when I rack the slide. Haven’t shot it yet but I’m sure it will feed just fine. I can only fit about 18-19 rounds in with the spring that it came with it. Overall, I would have given it 5 stars if it held 23 (18+5), but 18 is still more than enough.
Pros:
- Looks amazing
- proper fit
Cons:
- wont hold 23 rounds
- only holds 18 max

great for fast reloads without a magwell
I like them but they will not work with my flared magwell. It also only allowed 2 extra rounds in my factory magazine.

outdated.. but works!
Yikes! So a few things with this product… as best I can determine, this mag extension was designed for Canik’s original model grips. The “lip” on the back that everyone is seeming to have an issue with forms well with the OG Canik design. However, anyone who knows Canik is aware that their base model has been revised since the handgun was first introduced to the market. That being said, if you have one of Canik’s first iterations this will work great* with no modification required.
If, however, you own one of the newer models, especially one with a mag well attachment, then there will need to be some serious customization. I honestly could have gotten away with doing way less. I started by aggressively sanding away the rear lip on the extension which was necessary. However I noticed that once the lip was flush with the rest of the piece, it was the entire “back-strap” of the extension that was in the way. (I continued to sand down the top of the extension which, in hindsight, wasn’t necessary.) to solve this, I simply took a utility razor and, using the relief cuts on the back of the extension (no real idea why they are there unless Strike Industries intended them to be a reference point for exactly what I did, which, if that is the case, they should advertise…) worked the blade through the plastic till the entire rear of the extension was cut away. I then sanded down the remainder of the jagged plastic and now have a wonderfully functional* base extension.

Not Accurate Description!!!
Bought 2 of these for my TP9DA w/ standard 18 round magazines. Got one installed and quickly realized it didn't add 5 to my round count, only 3. But that ultimately made the gun unsafe to operate due to the fact that I had to literally force the magazine into the gun. So I took a round out and the fit was snug but acceptable and safe. But then I realized if I wanted to go back to the original I couldn't because there's no way to take the magazine back apart without fighting or ultimately cutting the new spring. So instead of installing the second unit I bought, I'm going to run the one mag I've got that now holds 20 instead of 18 and see how it does. If it operates without failures, I'll probably install it. But if it fails, I'll be sending the unused one back and requesting a refund.
Pros:
- +2 is better than +none
Cons:
- Falsely Advertised

Beware!!!!!!
Does not fit the 15 round mag! Had to grind down the lip on top of the plate because it bottoms out on the grip.. the spring is way to large for plus 5 in the 15 round mag, plus 2 is more accurate. Had to modify the spring in order to get it to plus 4.. Thankfully it cycles properly after all the mods..
