Just a heads up, if you purchase this item then there's a step or two you might wanna take before using the Oppressor. Most Helpful Negative Review Strike Industries SI Oppressor
The oppressor got rusted after 150 rounds of 5.56. After contacting Strike Industries they finally will replace it with a new one. It was over 3 weeks back and forth with them. Strike Industries has no customer service phone number, only via emails, making it difficult.

this blast sheild works well, and is very well built. as others have mentioned, it is a tad bit heavy, but not a deal breaker. sound and blast is mitigated down to a more tolerable level, but it's not a suppressor, that's for sure. overall a good product

Looks great. No gas in your face. The only thing i have a problem with is when you use it it feels like it's getting loose so naturally you tighten it a it seizes on compensator.

Does what it claims.

I have two of these; one on my AR and the other on a M&P FPC. It does exactly what it claims. It’s great for sound retention especially when indoors. As an added bonus, it makes my rifles look aggressive. You do need a Strike Industries muzzle brake for compatibility.

Wonderful... not only does the mitigation of blast show as a plus but it also shoves a beautiful flame that is more than enough to show it's power but it also save me from the gas masking that I know everyone just loves.

SI Oppressor

This is one of the best, I mean hands down the most bang for your buck, literally. The weight is perfect, the blast is forward (dragon breath) and the recoil is next to nothing.. (insane). I run a 762x39 and this makes my experience one of the best I have in my arsenal.
