Most Helpful Positive Review Love them. Not sure why they get so much hate.
I waited for these to come back in-stock, & took my chances & ordered even with the bad reviews. Very low profile on the rail, & I love that they can be run offset or straight up. I run the Magpul Pro's on my other rifles (non-offset), & was gonna go with the Magpul Pro's (offset), but found a kille...

Most Helpful Negative Review Well made, but don't fit
I waited on back order for these sights for awhile, and was excited to receive them. They are compact and a great idea, but would not fit on any rail I tried, including LWRC, JL BIllet, and S&W. The mount seems to be 1/2-2/3 as deep as it needs to be to fit onto the rail. I ignored similar review...

One star cause they look cool!

by Phil, from CA, United States Written on March 24, 2019
Horrible product! Concept us good but the finished product is utterly useless. They don't fit a lot of rails easily from what I read, aND concur on my Alpha upper. They are very loose in the operation and I wasn't able to get them sighted in @ 100 yards! I do not recommend their use whatsoever just save your money

They work if you know what you are doing!!!

by Steve, from FL, United States Written on January 30, 2019
These are awesome buis but when they don’t fit your rail. You will need to have a jewelers file set to file down the mount that reaches across the rail a little bit. I’ve bought a couple of these some fit right off and some need alittle filing! The only reason I made it a four star is because they don’t lock in the deployed position.

Innovative | Well thought out Back Up Iron Sights (BUIS)!

by One Mile Up, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on August 10, 2018
Strike Industries has done it again! I _really_ dig the forward thinking that was put into these BUIS. I bought these for my Sig Sauer MCX Virtus (Patrol)... so my review is going to be biased towards that platform... lol. The sights themselves are great. They come in a really nice package, finish is really nice... but the instructions could be a tad better IMO... I'll get into that in a minute... but overall -- I'm pleased with the sights.

When attaching them to the MCX Virtus hand-guard / upper rail, I ran into some problems:
You might read reviews of these sights saying that they don't fit certain rails and I can't help but wonder if they simply didn't know how to install the sights properly. THIS is why I feel that Strike Industries should update their instructions on how to install them. I almost gave up... but then I noticed I was doing it wrong. You have to fold the sights a certain way ("in" -vs- "out" | out meaning hanging off the side of the firearm at the 45º offset), and you also have to tilt them on their side (the side where the sight is located NOT the side where the screw is to tighten them down to the rail) and then lay them over the top of the rail, then insert the part that locks the sight down to the rail and tighten it with the screw.

The only problem I ran into while installing them on my MCX Virtus was the fit... The design of the FIREARM makes these sights NOT fit as designed. The sights won't fit on the rail flush due to the geometry of the hand-gu...

Don't fit most rails.

by Nate m, from SD, United States Written on July 6, 2018
So I bought these because they have the capability to be used both left and right handed unfortunately they didn't fit the gun the gun I built....or the other guns I have. So now I am stuck with sights that I cannot use and no longer have a use for them.
Pros:
  • Left and right hand capable
Cons:
  • Don't fit most rails
