The light does not disappoint. The candela is crazy. I compare it to my olight but way smaller. The distance the beam puts out it crazy also.

Great light for seeing out at distance. Defined hotspot with a little spill. Low setting is great for smaller tasks around the house. I carry this light daily and it's a great size for everyday use.

Great light

Great light, but this particular finish marks up easily. I think if I ordered again I would save a few dollars and order the black which I believe is a different finishing process.

If you can only have one.

Like many of us I own several flashlights but if I could only have one…..it would be this one. Awesome battery life(2hrs+ on hi) and had an amazing long distance hot spot with great usable spillage. Couldn’t find a “K” rating but IMO it’s about perfect. 100K candela, a decent low setting, great ergonomics with Surefire quality…..all I need.

  • Be cool if it had a middle setting. EDC

Eye of Sauron we have at home

Beams across the universe with ample usable flood. The 2 sec delay from clicking high/low is surprisingly intuitive and useful. Day one consisted of LRRP’ng around the house until battery died. Dumbed down synopsis of battery life was around 1.5hrs of autistic clicking of button high/low with provided (fully charged) SF rechargeable (re) 18650 battery. About an hour or so, albeit maybe slightly dimmer (after a few seconds on high) with fully charged SF re CR123’s. Did some night hikes and threw that bia in a creek (while on for about 5min) and held up no probs. No moisture made it past seals. Not much of a test there but made me giggle nonetheless. It’ll get beaten up over time with relatively rough use. May review then if I’m feeling froggy. All in all, dope light!

Surefire 18650 Turbo Handheld

I have used another brand of high candela, hard use duty lights for the past several years and had multiple issues with switches on said lights. I decided to make the change to surefire and could not be happier. This light does exactly what I’m looking for, which is to put a ton of light out at distance. Yes, the lumen output is slightly reduced at the expense of candela. However, as a hard use piece of equipment, you couldn’t ask for a better light. I would recommend this product without a doubt and wish I would have bought it sooner.

The best light money can buy

Surefire has been a proven platform in the tactical community for years. This light is no exception. With 100k candela and an awesome 25 lumen low mode, this is light is perfect for Tactical situations and everyday admin tasks. Not to mention it’s also American made and guaranteed for life. The Surefire EDC2-DFT is worth every penny.
