Surefire uses a USGI dimension on the flat wrench...thus most of your regular wrenches do not work.
This also gives you the proper alignment and torque values that you need when using a TQ wrench.
If your Surefire device was installed from a reputable OEM...most likely it will be rocksett in...so ...

I have been installing my Surefire flash suppressors for years using a custom ground wrench and figured it was about time I take the plunge and get the official tool for the job. I could have never imagined how poorly made this tool could be. The tines on the wrench have wavy cuts co they make uneve...

I just used this to install my SureFire SOCOM 3-Prong Flash Hider, and it worked perfectly. I was pleased enough with it enough to give it 5 Stars. The reason I rated it lower, at 3 Stars, is that for some reason I completely failed to notice there are flats for a standard crow's foot wrench on the flash hider until I was installing it! Thus, this 3-prong wrench is completely unnecessary if you already have the row's foot wrench which, if you had to remove a standard birdcage to make way for your SureFire, then you likely already have the tool you need.
Pros:
Sturdy
works well
simple & easy
Cons:
Unneccessary
redundant
Best Used for:
Surefire Flash Hider

Just wanted to have one on hand or to Loan out. Cannot give much of a review because I haven't used it yet. It nothing fancy but they do what they need to do. Actually, if you purchase a Surefire muzzle device one comes in the package or at least the two I purchased did. This is just a backup or a loaner.

Bought this to install a Surefire 3 prong flash hider. It is fine and works alright, attached to the torque wrench and tightened to spec. While it got the job done, I think I would consider upgrading and just purchasing a combination wrench instead. It's more money but a better tool. This one works fine, but there are betters options out there.
