This is a revised review, was unable to edit my original review. Alignment rod finally arrived today and all is well! The problem with shipping was the carrier not the shipper. My only complaint with Optics Planet was the lack of customer support, no phone or email contact was unacceptable. Maybe when the pre-election and post (hopefully) Covid-19 ordering rush is over customer support will return.
Must have if using a suppressor
This rod has saved me on a couple of build where the muzzle device was not perfectly square. If the rod is not in the center of the bore when checking then you either have an issue with the barrel or muzzle device, use a different sized shim to clock the muzzle device roughly 180 degrees from the original position then if the rod is still leaning the same direction then the barrel shoulder is bad but if the rod points to the same part of the muzzle device then there is an issue with it.

Excellant Alignment Rod
This allignment rod fit perfectly in the barrel, making it very easy to get the concentricty right for the supressor. Rock on.

Still waiting on my cans to be approved but upon initial inspection they look straight as an arrow. I dont doubt the SF/Geissele quality on these that they'll work just fine when the time comes

So glad I made this purchase. Once I received my bore rod I immediately checked to see if my suppressor was aligned and sure enough, it wasn’t straight. This is a must have for those who own suppressors because it would really suck if a baffle strike were to occur.

Suppressor alignment rod, good quality and Surefire thinks very highly about their product which is evident in the price. Took over 2 months to arrive, listed as in stock at the time of purchase. It wasn’t.

Solid manufacturing.
Well what can you say for a solid steel rod, not much subsequently. It is a finely crafted sizing rod with clear writing indicating its size. In my humble opinion it’s a bit on the pricy side but it’s better than paying a gunsmith to check your can but I digress. In the end you will save in time and money getting one.

great for checking suppressor alignment
after spending a thousand dollars and waiting for countless days, it's better to confirm your suppressor will work before hand instead of leaving it to chance and having to deal with sending it to the shop for repairs. Surefire does a great job machining this and you can trust your suppressors effectiveness.

Came with a bend
After ordering my package didnt have a working tracking number. When I went to go check the alignment of my new barrel it had a bend about 1/3 of the way down on your end. I'm still able to use the first 2/3s but For the price it disappointing.

missing in action
I'm unable to review the product because it hasn't been received yet!! Customer service is non-existent, no phone or email contact. This was my first order and probably my last. I've used the same product in a different size and it worked as intended, the other size rods i used were purchased from BROWNELLS and i actually received them in a timely matter. Unfortunately the were out of stock in the.556 size i needed so i gave optics planet a shot, think i made a mistake, i hope they prove me wrong and i actually receive my product in the near future.
