They are the industry standard for a reason. I have 3 that I’ve had mounted for a few years. Batteries don’t last quite as long as a Streamlight, but the quality is top notch, and the amount of options for modularity and mounting options is amazing. Getting a product with so many supporting products like switches, batteries, and mounts is worth spending the extra money on. But once vet once… for each rifle and flashlight…

Excellent light on sale compared to the Turbo model

The earlier version of the M640DF "non-Turbo" versions had issues where the light would flicker and with the current trend of "candela wars", this light is excellent for medium to short ranges. The newer "DFT" version has incredible range with over 100K candela, which is the current vibe, but they're also more expensive.

SureFire M640DF Scout Light Pro Dual Fuel LED Weapon Light

I have am partial to Surefire products. I have used them exclusively since 2000 after enlistment, and specifically in GWOT campaigns until 2025 when I retired. I have purchased probably four of these scout lights and run them on all my AR and AK platforms. I use the 300 series on all my pistols. You could probably hand them down to your grandkids. Pricey. But good stuff ain't cheap. Cheap stuff ain't good.

it flew off after 2 magazines. might need to blue loctite it next time.

but surefire needs to visit their pricing.
