The2AinCA's Review of SureFire MasterFire Rapid Deploy Holster
When it comes to holsters, there was always a trade-off: 1) limit the accessories on my handgun so it will fit a holster or 2) fully accessorize my handgun knowing that it will not fit any holster. The SureFire holster is a game changer that eliminates this tradeoff.
This SureFire holster is a match-made-in-heaven with my: P226 Mk25, Masterfire X400UH, and slide mounted red dot. There is also room for a suppressor and an extended magazine. It gets better, the SureFire holster works with my Safariland QLS 19/22 setup and there are a few advantages of the SureFire holster over my Safariland ALS holster.
1. It is worth mentioning again that I can fully accessorize.
2. There’s a safety switch. There’s a thumb button to release the clamp on the Masterfire light/laser as part of the draw, however, there is a switch switch that will lock the thumb button.
3. I can set the Masterfire light/laser to turn on when I draw so I don’t need to manually activate or use pressure switches.
4. A deliberate draw is smooth. If I am not deliberate then I notice a little tug that turns on the light/laser.
5. The draw is easier, faster, and more natural. With a typical holster, I need to draw in a straight line until the muzzle clears the holster. With the SureFire holster, the draw is essentially pivoting and lifting the handgun off the holster that clamped on the Masterfire laser/light.
6. This holster will work with any handgun with a mounted MasterFire light/laser. I can’t speak for other handguns, but the trigger is completely covered with my holstered P226 Mk25.
To summarize, If you have a P226 Mk25, you need this in your life like oxygen. For other handguns, I recommend proceeding with caution since an exposed trigger is a dealbreaker.
