Most Helpful Positive Review Masterfire
Great product overall, the concept is a hybrid of the rail holsters...If you run a CAN or an RED DOT apparatus then consider this holster...I’ve done T & E on it from a LEO POV. It needs more integrity at the belt mount in my opinion, and some consideration on the rear retention switch for patrol ca...

Most Helpful Negative Review Must be an outsourced SF product
As this SF holster has such few reviews, I feel inclined to review it in as much of an unbiased way as possible. Personally I've always been impressed with Surefire, but this fell short in several areas. I purchased two of these holsters and both of them had the same issues. So here we go: 1. The b...

Game changer for P226 Mk25

by The2AinCA, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on May 26, 2021
When it comes to holsters, there was always a trade-off: 1) limit the accessories on my handgun so it will fit a holster or 2) fully accessorize my handgun knowing that it will not fit any holster. The SureFire holster is a game changer that eliminates this tradeoff.

This SureFire holster is a match-made-in-heaven with my: P226 Mk25, Masterfire X400UH, and slide mounted red dot. There is also room for a suppressor and an extended magazine. It gets better, the SureFire holster works with my Safariland QLS 19/22 setup and there are a few advantages of the SureFire holster over my Safariland ALS holster.

1. It is worth mentioning again that I can fully accessorize.
2. There’s a safety switch. There’s a thumb button to release the clamp on the Masterfire light/laser as part of the draw, however, there is a switch switch that will lock the thumb button.
3. I can set the Masterfire light/laser to turn on when I draw so I don’t need to manually activate or use pressure switches.
4. A deliberate draw is smooth. If I am not deliberate then I notice a little tug that turns on the light/laser.
5. The draw is easier, faster, and more natural. With a typical holster, I need to draw in a straight line until the muzzle clears the holster. With the SureFire holster, the draw is essentially pivoting and lifting the handgun off the holster that clamped on the Masterfire laser/light.
6. This holster will work with any handgun with a mounted MasterFire light/laser. I can’t speak for othe...

Awesome product, highly recommend

Couple things. You need to purchase the correct light for this to work properly. I really enjoy this holster and it can save you some cash! You can mount the light to any railed pistol, I have a 1911 and a glock 19. These pistols lock perfectly into the holster. You only need 1 holster, this holster, for all your pistols. You WILL feel the draw advantage as opposed to a regular pull holster. My pistols have, on rare occasion, shifted or ejected from my regular pull holsters when running. This is really bad, it would be tragic for an accidental discharge. The Masterfire holster locks the pistol in place and does not move. When i’m in the woods on my 4x4 quad, I don’t have to worry about my pistol moving or falling out when going over large rocks. I have spent a small fortune on SUREFIRE products and am happy with everything I have purchased.
Pros:
  • Quality, can be used with most any pistol.
Cons:
  • None

Great holster but.......

by KeyboardCommando1776, from UT, United States Written on July 9, 2019
I love everything about this holster but the light turning on when the gun is being removed from the holster is not working for me. Surefire sent me a couple new battery end caps but this has not fixed the issue. I have sent the holster and light back Surefire for repair or replacement.
Pros:
  • Works on all my pistols with a rail and with suppressors
  • Works will all my guns with a rail.
Cons:
  • Works with most suppressors.

Looks cool, but has critical issues

by Han Solo, from WA, United States Written on January 28, 2019
Awesome looking. And it snaps into place good, but as many have noted, it gets hung up when you decide to draw the pistol. The button gets jammed and takes a second to get it finally lose. !!!!!!!!!WOULD NOT TRUST MY LIFE WITH THIS HOLSTER!!!!!!! It is fine for the range. But in a tactical situation, it could cost you your life.
Best Used for:
  • Range day

Not a Surefire fan

by Rudy, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on October 12, 2018
I was looking a holster for all my railed semi auto handguns . Behold the “MASTERFIRE”!!!!!!! Fits my Glock 34 with the X35H Surefire light like OJ Simpson’s Glove. Added a muzzle compensator and holsters flawlessly. Compatible with Safariland’s QLS/MLS systems but the revised holster includes the LONGER screws that are REQUIRED. The longest of the screws on the unrevised holster will only reach the first 2 threads and may shear off with enough torque.
Pros:
  • quality & craftsmanship, stops a bullet
Cons:
  • Black only

Doesn’t Adequetely Protect Trigger

by YosemiteSambo, from OR, United States Written on September 16, 2018
The two most important functions for any holster are 1) to hold the gun and 2) to cover the trigger and trigger guard. This holster is advertised as a universal fit, but the plastic extension that is supposed to cover the trigger guard is too short on multiple handguns and I could easily depress the trigger when holstered and seriously injure myself. When I called SureFire, they were uncertain of which guns might fit or not. Good concept, but needs serious work to be considered a market-ready and functional holster system.
Pros:
  • Accommodates RDS
  • accommodates suppressors
Cons:
  • Does not protect trigger on many handguns
Best Used for:
  • R&D

on/off switch does not work

by Nick name, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on August 20, 2018
On off switch doesn’t work. I removed it and it works great without it. Unfortunately, my brand new flashlight is scratched and damaged from my repeated attempts to make the switch work. My gun rattles around a bit, but the lock tightens it up nicely
Pros:
  • Sweat holster
Cons:
  • Switch and flashlight damage

Surefire Holster

by Dj Shift, from NV, United States Written on August 15, 2018
I bought this holster for hunting at night. Either for a hog rushing at me or a mountain lion or bear protection. It turns in the light as soon as you draw your weapon. It works perfect for those quick scenarios
