Most Helpful Positive Review Nice little light
I bought the micro scout for my 22 rifle, because it's nice to have a flashlight handy where you know where it is. It's perfect for short distances, especially in and around the house. I mounted it on my Grey Birch stock using the included M-Lok mount on the right side next to the forward grip, and ...

Most Helpful Negative Review OVERPRICED
This thing w the name and branding $100 bucks tops. Nothing fancy about it at all. It’s just less of a flashlight. Msrp $269???? I don’t complain and I like the light but I was disappointed in myself for getting scammed into paying that much for such a basic, little gun light. I felt like I took an ...

Surefire Micro Scout

by mark, from MI, United States Written on March 14, 2025
If space is limited on your PCC or on your PDW then this is the light for you. Ive got mine mounted on a Scorpion 3+ micro and its perfect. Dont let its small size fool.you. Perfect for quick target ID without being some huge thing hanging out in the wind. Would i put this on a full size rifle? No, but its the perfect size for that Bag Gun PDW.

Small but useful

by Krich, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on November 26, 2024
This light is very compact and it only uses one AAA battery making it easy to find a replacement when needed. It is bright enough for indoors but is a bit under powered for outdoor use at any real distance. Still for close up use or just about anything indoors it provides a good amount of light without blinding reflection to worry about. It is very lightweight and seems sturdy as well.
Pros:
  • Small and light weight
Cons:
  • Not as bright as maybe needed outside
Best Used for:
  • Smaller platforms and PCCs

Surefire AAA scout light

by Na, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on May 9, 2024
So i have owned lots of scout lights i wanted a light weight scout light . This has been 100 reliable but I'm disappointed with the wide beam and its not that bright . Beam is to wide . I have turbo single scout light and its much better for outdoor use. The AAAis fine for home defense but not a focused enough beam for outdoor use. Buy the single cell turbo instead.

Good Kit 4 Small Weapons

by HollowTs, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on March 17, 2024
This light is small yet able to provide a quality source for smaller weapons with limited space. Only downside is the brightness. Only so much you can do with a light this size and still have decent battery life!
Pros:
  • Small/Compact
  • Mount articulates to desired angle
Cons:
  • Brightness

SureFire Micro Scout LED Weapon Light Pro

by Rick, Verified Owner from MS, United States Written on January 19, 2024
Pretty cool, low profile weapon light. Takes up little real estate. Very ideal for your AR pistols/SBRs. They need to come out with a tail switch assembly/pressure pad for it, and maybe make the pressure pad a little smaller than the SR07.
Pros:
  • Small. Stays out of your way.
Cons:
  • Not as luminous as M340. Needs tailswitch assembly/pressure pad.
Best Used for:
  • AR pistols/SBRs

could have potential, but not practical out of the box for a weapon

by BW, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on April 27, 2023
Unqualified opinion - I purchased this light to put on my wifes Aug A3 M1 inverted on a 20/20 precision rail. This light is certainly lightweight, compact, and has the function to swivel a bit in the mount to find that sweet spot, but the light itself floods a bit too much to be a multi situation weapon light. It would work well in CQ settings, but i think users would want a slightly more versatile light over a "one trick pony." That said, inthink this ciuld be a fantastic helmet mounted task light and i will likely purchase another for that purpose. Would love to see modular filters for this application in the future, but im not anticipating this to come down the pipeline.

Very disappointing

by Rex, Verified Owner from LA, United States Written on March 30, 2023
Right out of the box switch not working. First time buying a Surefire. Always wanted one just could never justify the ridiculous price tags but for this ultralight build I said screw it lets drop the absurd amount of coin and get the lightest torch out there. First off, even if this was a perfectly functioning light there is absolutely no reason it should be over $100. It is a very basic light with a good bulb head and good flip mount and housing but that’s about it. For $300 this is a joke. I’m familiar with other Surefire lights and at least the crazy price tag is a bit more justifiable on most any other model and would give you more bang for buck ratio. I will give it this to be fair, it is ultralight and appears to be well built for what it is and the bulb is excellent for its size with a good refraction pattern and a very bright 300 lumens. If it worked it would be great for indoor defense and I’d even venture to say while not ideal, I’d take it hunting. Obviously not as a spotlight but for mainly tracking and engagement out to say 50 yards if you still have decent eyesight. I called Surefire earlier and their customer service was quick and good. They are sending out a new switch no questions asked so that’s good. I’d really like to support a made in USA buisness but Surefire is making it hard. For the price of this light their QC should be the best in the buisness and I just don’t see any excuse for a $300 basic pencil light to not operate correctly right out the box. I...
