So easy to use and mount
Honestly, I didnt think that such a small piece would make all the difference. The standard mount for it was pretty hard to use with my ARC rails, it was a clamp on style, so I bought an adapter from another company, and it was a better fit, but still didnt like it. Bought this one, and it was easy to install, but most of all gives you the ability to orient your light in different angles. Should have used this one from the beginning.
Pros:
- pivot
- easy to install
Cons:
- Large profile
Best Used for:
- nightime

Just what I needed for my bump helmet
I have a Surefire HL1-B military helmet mount light but it came with a mount that was not compatible with my bump helmet rail so I purchased the Ops Core Helmet Rail Mount. This mount works great on my helmet and now I can mount my helmet light to the side of my helmet. Took me a while to find this mount as without having seen one in person, was not sure if this was the correct mount for my helmet. My helmet is not an Ops Core helmet but rather a DLP Tactical ImpaX Core bump helmet but the rails are compatible. If you need to mount your Surefire helmet light on a helmet rail, this is the fix. It goes on nice and tight and "clips" into the rail so it won't come off. Benefit with this mount also is that it rotates 180 degrees so you can adjust your light higher or lower in your field of vision. Keeps the light where you are looking when moving through confined spaces in buildings.
Pros:
- Fits securely
- allows light to rotates up and down
- Light attaches quickly to it and is secure
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Mounting a SureFire helmet light to a helmet rail

Great Accessory to the Ops core rail
This is just what you need to mount your Surefire HL1 light to your Ops Core type helmet rail. It has the same quality and durability as the OE fixed mount, with the flexibility of mounting to your helmet rail and added ability to rotate the light to the desired viewing area. Be advised if running rail mounted hearing protection, the rail area gets pretty crowded but I was still able to use them both. Overall, excellent little addition to your helmet setup.
Pros:
- Mounting flexability
Cons:
- A little pricy
Best Used for:
- Ops Core Rail
