Surefire Tailcap Switch Assembly
I used to use the regular tape switch with an ERGO Tactical Light Switch Mount. This is a lot more secure and a lot more reliable when paired on my ar with an x300 it is a very compact, rugged and reliable setup. If you can get over the price then I highly recommend.

Remote tailcap review
Surefire once again did not dissappoint, there are two notched areas that need to fit into the weapons groove in order to stabilize the remote switch. Works perfect.

turn your x400 laser light into a full size weapon light!
Definitely would recommend, have it sitting on my get right next to my night stand, it’s a 7.5” 5.56 with a .22 BCG adapter in it. I love it, definitely makes my x400 feel a lot more useless than just a $600 pistol light lol.

Careful on Installation
The switch is a little stiff out of the box but works well. Be careful when installing the cap on light as one of the hooks immediately snapped and bent the bar. It still works but I suspect I'll need to reinforce it to keep the cap in good contact with the batteries.

Hard to find in stock.
Works as expected. The tail cap arrived in surefire packaging. The on and off switch on the back is great for accidental pad activation. The pad unplugs from the tail cap if you want to use a different pressure pad. Great stitch option.

Tape Switch
Used surefire when I was down range in the Marines, and now as a LEO. Switch in pic on site is of the original model, new model was shipped to me. Shipping was super fast, arrived faster than estimated, and best price I could find. Switch is of standard Surefire quality, what more can you say.

High quality, great function
Fitted a X300 on an HK build and needed a tape switch that would work so I didn't have to change my hand position to activate the light. The Rail Grabber pressure pad that came with the light works great with light pressure input and stays on the rail. As others have said, it's a bit pricey but it's definitely worth the one-time investment. You can find a cheap knock-off brand from overseas but you get what you pay for and Surefire, as always delivered with a great product. Worth it in the long run for sure.

Easy attach, easy to use
High quality cabled remote control for my Surefire x400 light/green laser. Really like the intermittent plus constant switch feature. The switch pad easily and securely attaches to picatinny rail and is easily removed.

versatility
good product, I didn't need it but thought it would be fun. I have a short rail so I located the light on the 2 o'clock position and placed the pad on the 12 o'clock. Works nicely and allows me to keep my carbon fiber grip panels for my ARAK21

Tail cap switch
Fits like a glove and works flawlessly. A bit pricey but then Surefire make a splendid product. The wiring can be routed and hidden under the Magpul panels. Full on or intermittent operation. Don't know what else I can say about the product that cannot be gleaned from the description.

Sure fire Tailcap Switch
Installs on Surefire X400 Ultra light/laser and mounts on AR-15 mil spec rail easily. Works as advertised, and makes control of light/laser much more efficient/ergonomic. Would definitely recommend to others with similar setup, as this is my second of Surefire X400 and same tailcap switch. Surefire products do not disappoint - flashlights, weapons lights, etc.
