Most Helpful Positive Review You will not find a better scope for the price.
When I ordered this, I was a bit skeptical because I could not believe that you could not get a quality scope for this price. Well I was wrong. Everything about this scope is great. The eye relief is excellent even at full magnification, and the glass is crisp. When I looked into this company, I fou...

Most Helpful Negative Review Sloppy one
Might have ben just mine but the tures was so sloppy that if you are not counting click you are going to get lost you could up one or down one on the elevation and also for let to right . the glass seams to be a bit distortion on the out edge at full power . Would give this a 4 out of 10

Good Value

by VietVet, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on March 29, 2025
Swamp Fox is a good brand scope in its price range. I bought my first SF a few years back and it is clear and sharp, tracks good. The only reason i did not give this scope a 5 is because the dot in the center of the cross is so small I can hardly see it. Otherwise the scope is great. I think this was the fastest shipping i have ever had from OP.
Pros:
  • clear optics
  • Good traking
Cons:
  • small center dot
Best Used for:
  • T arget shooting

Swampfox Scope

by Coco, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on June 10, 2024
I own several swampfox optics and this one is no exception, great scope for the money. Great eye relief, adjustments are solid and holds really well. I mounted on a 308 and It’s in my opinion the best scope on this price range. Optics planet as always delivers, best price around and fast delivery.

Great scope for the price.

I haven't owned many expensive scopes over the years , but I'd put this in a higher end category. I can compare it to Athlon Argos 6x24 or to vortex viper and with many weaver and leupold lower end models. The reticle on this patriot is very fine and easy to precisely aim. I'm skeptical about first focal plane scopes with a lower base magnification because I'm always afraid the duplex will cover up the point I'm aiming at. Not with this scope from 6x up to about 16x you can still accurately see the precise dot you are aiming at. In fact, with my eyes, I sometimes have to zoom a little just to see the writing (numbers) on the etched glass. I have had other FFP scopes before that I had to keep on low power just so the crosshairs didn't cover up the target. This is not the case with the Patriot. I never use lighted reticles and like the fact that this doesn't have that option and therefore saves the worry of a battery corroding or going dead. My only concern - is with the crosshairs being so "fine haired", that in low light conditions, it may take an extra second to find the reticle if it is on base power. So far, my use has only been target shooting and I couldn't be happier with the reticle, the weight, the clarity of the image and the returnability of the turrets. For the money, this is a great scope and I would highly recommend it.
Pros:
  • light Weight, great reticle, clear glass
Cons:
  • none yet
Best Used for:
  • Target / Hunting
Would recommend: Yes

Good scope

by Jake243tax, from OH, United States Written on February 25, 2024
Very pleased with this scope. I’ve been a fan of Athlon Argos 6x24 for several years and decided to try the Patriot model. The reticle is a little finer and allows for more precise aiming. This is also lighter than the Argos and doesn’t have the lighted reticle or battery. The zoom dial is less bulky and doesn’t tear up my knuckles with a bolt action. So far I’m very pleased with the patriot model.
Pros:
  • Lighter than most other scopes of the same size
Cons:
  • Reticle might be a little fine and hard to see at dusk
Best Used for:
  • target or hunting

So far best scope I never heard of…

by domzan, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on December 12, 2023
OpticsPlanet shipping was phenomenal as usual. So far the scope is mounted on the rifle and the eye relief and eye box are much better than I expected. Only range time will tell if it lives up to the hype. But so far so good.
Pros:
  • Price
  • clarity of glass
  • Capabilities
Cons:
  • None

Swampfox patriot 6- 24x50 scope.

by Wiltz, from NY, United States Written on November 30, 2023
Sighted in my rifle using this scope. The optics are very clear and adjusted easily. Crosshare is very fine and easily lost on a sight in target. On a solid target like a plate no problem. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting

Great Scope at a Great Price

by NickDaYoteSlayer, from IA, United States Written on September 11, 2023
I bought this scope for my Howa 1500 in 6ARC. I’ve run mostly Vortex on other rifles with an Athlon Midas thrown into the mix. This scope is by far my favorite of the bunch. Crisp clear glass, awesome reticle, adjustments track very very well, and the throw lever makes magnification adjustments a breeze. I WILL be buying more of these scopes in the future.
Pros:
  • Price, Quality, & Durability
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • long range
  • Precicion target shooting
Would recommend: Yes

Outstanding scope

by Rain13a, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on February 7, 2023
Thus optic provides a lot of features for a great price. The glass is crystal clear and makes target acquisition easy. The turrets have a great lockup and as of now a true return to zero. For the price this scope fights we'll above its weight and I would put it up against most upper level scopes. Buy with confidence.
Pros:
  • Price and install ease
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Target Hunting

This is the second swamp Fox product that I've purchased. This product gave me exactly what I wanted without the added price of other name brands. Quality build, durable, and Great Glass quality. Nothing more to say, just trying to get you this stupid 200 words for my 7% off coupon.
