Bang for Your Buck
The Sylvan Arms AR15 f/9mm Glock Conversion Block worked perfect with my Bear Creek Bufferless 9mm upper and ETS mags. Easy to install. Easy to remove mags. Runs and Feeds well. I Liked this Product but know last Round bolt catch.

Failure to eject.
I own 3 AR 9 pistols, 2 with dedicated lowers (Aero, Joe Bob)& one with an AR15 lower with a Stern Defense 9mm mag well adaptor. I recently bought this Sylvan Arms conversion block through Optics planet and installed it with the AR15 lower (replacing the Stern). Tested it last weekend. More than 50%...

Works well w foxtrot Mike fm9, and magpul mags
It installs quickly and remains secured held in the lower. Worked flawlessly w fm9 upper and magpul mags. For now I’m sharing the lower w .300 Bo upper. So requires a spring and buffer hange as well, but for a day at the range the changeover is quite simple. This will be my home defense weapon.
Pros:
- Easy to install and remove though requires an Allen wrench
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Multi caliber lower usage
- Sharing the lower with other uppers

Sylvan Arms AR-15 f/9mm Glock Conversion Block
This is very well made, easy to install, and functions well.
Pros:
- easy to install
- Locks in place
- Well made aluminum material
Cons:
- doesn't use ar mag release
Would recommend: Yes
Works, but needs slight modifications
Bought this for my 9mm ar build. It fits great, but the mags fit really tight. You have to file, along the bottom, for easer mag loading and unloading. I also ground out the inner part of the ar mag well, on lower receiver, the insert mag lock, pushes out, when inserting magazine, causing a bit of binding.
Pros:
- Price
- Works well enough
Cons:
- Needs tweaks, for better functionality
Best Used for:
- 9mm ar build, with ar15 lower
Would recommend: Yes
Easy Install
Pretty much one screw that holds this thing in place and it is really easy to install. Put a couple hundred rounds no issues so far. One thing that is annoying however is if you’re trying to use Magpul mags you gotta forcefully shove it in the mag well so that they seat properly. It will seat factory glock mags nicely though.

Great magwell adapter for the price, did require slight modification...
So I'm in the process of building a new 9mm PCC and wanted to use a standard AR lower. So after some research and such, decided on this Sylvan Arms Conversion Block (magwell adapter for Glock magazines). Reviews were mixed, with mostly all positive, so I pulled the trigger and ordered it, along with a couple new Glock 33 round mags to use (Leapers UTG GL933 9mm Polymer Glock Magazine RBT-GL933 which are also from opticsplanet.com).
The items arrived and put the magwell adapter an ATI lower that I have set aside for testing before going into a Spikes Tactical Snowflake lower and it went right in. Did have to depress the mag release for it to go in and lock into position, but that's okay. The top button head screw sits against the shelf great and not in the way from the upper being attached. There was a little play in between the magwell adapter and the lower, but that was easily resolved by simply adding a 3d printed shim over the magwell adapter so it sits between the lower magwell and adapter and that snugged it right up perfectly. I also test fit it into the Spikes Tactical lower and it slid right in there as well, not tight and didn't require any force, actually will end up using the shim for that lower as well.
As for the magazine entry into the adapter. It was pretty difficult at first, but immediately noticed the issue. Up top where the magazine stop protrudes out to prevent the magazine from being inserted too far, that was catching and rubbing on the mag. L...

Just The Adapter I Needed
Very handy for my AR-15 9mm Pistol conversion. Priced right, prompt delivery. Seemed a little loose until I put in a Glock mag and it snugged right up. Kudos.

Instructions are wrong &doesn't mount
Up front anybody who says that this works fine in the reviews is either lying or they don't know what they're talking about. But I do because I'm an ex-marine and I know the weapons and how they work. This product will not mount an AR-15 magazine well with the upper installed without modification. Details: First of all the instructions are wrong that say to insert it and then remove a head screw. The head screw sticks over the lip you can't insert it without removing it first. The second thing that's wrong is you just put it in like a normal magazine it says and it clicks in. Wrong. You have to to get this to go in you have to remove the upper and then you have to depress the mad catch and then you can insert it but then you can't get the upper back on. You can't get the butt app or back on because there's this insane fixed spike coming out of the top of it it looks like the head of a slotted screwdriver that runs into your bolt carrier group. I'm going to I'm going to disassemble the top of it and see if I can take that spike this sticking up out and see if it works. Otherwise I'm sending it back.
Pros:
- The cheapest one
Cons:
- Doesn't work without modification

works as expected
I wish the set screw on top was flat instead of rounded on the head just for tight tolerance issues but besides that it works great.
