This item doesn't work, there is no way to tighten the castle nut because of the configuration, a armours wrench simply will not go around it. DON"T BUY, unless you like a loose buffer tube. Fast shipping as always from Optics Planet

Does not fit any of my quick detach slings. I’ve tried them all absolutely ridiculous this product should not even be sold optics planet sells quality stuff but this is the worst item I purchased. It does slide over the buffer tube and while it is a painful attachment you can attach the castle nut. Poorly engineered only looks good in the picture that is on OpticsPlanet this item should not even be for sale. Buy a strike industries QD it’s much better quality and attach is like a dream.

AR-QD quick relief

by Terry, from WA, United States Written on May 30, 2019
Seems to be a good product, feels heavy duty and solid. I have already purchased several more...... And I would recommend two other people. The shipping seems to be a little slow, but other than that the customer service seems to be okay.

Doesn’t work.

by Lone Ranger, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on October 3, 2018
Mounted it on the AR everything was good. Then went to attach my sling.......guess I should have tried that before I mounted it. The QD doesn’t lock in. Tried every sling I have and QD none of them would lock in. Looks like when they made them it was cut wrong on the inside. You can tell just by looking at it.

Won't even fit on AR

by DGouldth, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on March 29, 2017
These things are nothing more than paperweights. The QD attachment sites protrude so much that you cannot tighten down the buffer tube. This makes these things useless. Trying to even get these tightened down close enough, it broke the rear take down pin spring. On top of not fitting or being made correctly, they are so heavy, like way heavier than they should be. Product is garbage, save your money

Why didn't I get the QD attachment???

by greyoliveblackfde, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on December 11, 2016
I noticed after purchase that I could have used the added QD attachment, and it is actually cheaper to order the set than to just get the end plate! I ended up ordering an angled QD attachment which operates better for me, but I could have thrown it "in stock" or used for a front-mount or attachment on another sling I have.

The QD endplate has a very shiny black-painted reflective sheen, call it Ferrari-black. Very soft to the touch with this highly polished paint job. My AR's, as most, are matte black so this has a stark contrast. It really does look sharp by itself, and is of super heavy-duty construction. If color-matching matters to you, you may have to give your AR a Ferrari-quality paint job to match the endplate! I am almost inspired to do just that, as this paint job is quite nice. Or, you could go the cheaper way and give it a light sand or buff with a file to give it that matte finish. This finish isn't indicated in the description, but the 2nd photo which is a close-up without the QD attachment gives you an idea of the reflective shine.

The QD attachments are beefy and stick out well from the lower/receiver. I thought the top-loop of the ring might be thin, but no worries. Again, solid construction. Maybe heavy if weight is a concern, but you won't have to worry about a QD "ear" coming off or your firearm dropping due to cheap construction. I say "ear" because they remind me of a kid with big ears. I like them sticking out though, they should. This ...
