Most Helpful Positive Review Poorman's Kaw Valley Linear Compensator
Poorman's Kaw Valley Linear Compensator - maybe not as refined looking finish, but I like the knurled texture and helical cuts around the cylindar shape. Performs as KVP linear compenstor, seems to work just like it, but at half the price. Now granted the 'extended KVP compensators' can act like s...

Most Helpful Negative Review Holes not drill all the way through
Alot bigger than it seemed. Holes weren't drilled all the way through on the ports. Had to drill and sand the holes for the forward blow to function at all. Big, heavy, didn't function without modification.

by Josiah fisher, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on December 21, 2025

Linear Comp

by Tanner Williams, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on September 10, 2025
It did exactly what it was made to do. It does add a little bit of weight to the end of your barrel. For CQB on a .300 BlkOut with a 10.5 inch barrel, you dont seem to notice much of a difference with that little weight.

Pretty good linear comp, excellent value

by Brandon, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on February 5, 2025
I put this linear comp on my 9mm carbine and it works great. No cycling issues, no threading issues, attaches well. I recommend using VibraTite as it can loosen up a bit under extended use, definitely use the crush washer that comes with it. It is a bit weighty, so if you use it on a pistol be aware of that. It does a pretty good job limiting the flash out the front with standard range ammo, not sure with subs.

Otherwise, I recommend this for the price.
Pros:
  • Excellent value
  • Low Muzzle Flash, Low Report
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • 9mm pistol
  • 9mm carbine

great product

by Findmehunting, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on January 21, 2024
Straight forward. Forward exhaust maintains bullet trajectory. Rugged and sturdy. I really like the look both long and short versions. I have one for both my ar15 and ar10. Big fan of the price too.
Pros:
  • Sturdy
  • omni-directional
Cons:
  • only forward ports
Best Used for:
  • AR15
  • AR10

It’s okay after some refinements.

by Shepherd, from OR, United States Written on April 9, 2022
At first glance it looks great, until you look into the front and notice the ports that lead to the barrel are not fully machined. The hole through is only partially opened with lots of burrs. I had to take a Dremel to the inside to remove unwanted metal.
Pros:
  • Looks good initially
Cons:
  • Needs diy to make perfect
Best Used for:
  • shooting

Poor Design

by Lee, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on April 6, 2022
I had it put on my AR-15 by a gunsmith, so I would be sure that it was installed properly. After one time at the range this compensator tore out between the center projectile hole and two of the exhaust holes. This is an example of bad design and/or cheap material.
Pros:
  • Looks good
Cons:
  • breaks easily
Best Used for:
  • look at

Works well enough.

I wanted to tame the pop of shooting 22lr. After researching all the similar products I decided that it didn’t seem like spending top dollar was going to make much difference for what these things do. I am impressed by the fit and finish. After shooting with and without it to see if it does anything at all. I can say that it definitely gets a little of the perceived pop away from your ears when shooting. Wearing ear protection and using it makes it about suppressed seeming loud. ( about like a pellet gun with no ears ). All in all for the price it does do a little something for The perceived noise and looks nice, built well etc... get you one.
