Still trying to fit it. I wish Tactical Solutions would have left the shank uncoated. I'm still sanding away all the finish to try to get it to fit. Other wise barrel is exactly as pictured. The fiber optic sights are higher than the factory sights so you can still use them with TS's rail installed. Very pleased with this in a Boyds stock (when I get it to fit). Just be aware there may be more sanding than you are looking to do. Sand, check fit, repeat, repeat...

Scary Accurate
Just finished installing a few days ago. Went together without a hitch. Open sights are highly visible and easy to adjust for elevation. Had it to the range to sight in my SIG Romeo 5 red dot. Shot about eight groups of three at 21yards. Three of my groups were one hole. One of those was almost on top of each other. The other five groups were also very small. Using plane Jane Federal .22 LR. Very happy with the accuracy, especially since I was using a 1x red dot. Looking to add another barrel to my second 10/22.

Very lightweight and accurate barrel.
Sweet barrel that makes for a very lightweight and maneuverable rifle. The length of the barrel is wonderful and the open sights are extremely useable. The installation was just as they described. I had to sand off most of the coating and I heated the receiver with a heat gun to make it easier to install. I also used the TacSol V-Block which is much nicer than the Ruger one. It's nice and tight, just the right amount. The fit is perfect and I've had no problems using all kinds of ammo without any issues. I'd recommend this barrel to anyone who is watching the weight of their build, or just wants something that's easy to carry and very accurate. It makes me want to get the Tac Sol Receiver too!

Ruger 10/22 lightweight and compact .920 barrel with open sights
I've never been dissatisfied with anything form TacSol, and this barrel is no different. It has pretty much all the features I look for in a barrel: lightweight, compact (about 16"), .920" diameter, fluted, threaded, black finish, AND open sights. I really prefer open sights, and it was extremely difficult to find any .920" diameter barrel with open sights. There are sights out there that you can attach like a ring, band, or clamp a the muzzle, but you don't know for sure if they're aligned with the rear sight. One good solution in this regard is Nodak Spud - you just need to have the time and patience to do the alignment. Not the end of the world if you don't. I just prefer that the barrel come pre-installed with sights. This barrel is exactly that, which really sets it apart. I'm very happy with it and highly recommend it if you prefer open sights as well.

Couldn't fit to any of my receivers
This barrel wouldn't fit in any of my three receivers. Even after sanding down the anodized coating. Now it's technically damaged and completely worthless. I'll try to return it, but no telling. This has completely halted my build and now I'm not sure what to do. What a waste, I'm very disappointed.

Light weight
This barrel is a very nicely made piece. It dropped a significant amount of weight compared to the factory barrel. The sights are bright and easy to see. Thumbs up for Tactical Solutions products fit, finish, quality! Make sure you watch the install video on YouTube. Some minor sanding of the barrel might be required for a tight fight into the receiver.

Excellent barrel
This thing looks sharp and shoots excellent. Installation was easy with some simple hand tools and a little blue loctite. I’m buying another for my takedown rifle. The groups right out the box were one ragged hole at 25 yards. I paired mine with a hogue tactical thumbhole stock and a vortex scope.
