Talley 93X725 1-Piece Low Base & Extension Ring Sav Mod 12 Accu Trigger Black
Good mounts, they fit the gun (Axis 2) but not with the Leupold VX-2 (40mm obj). The bottom of bell hits the top of the front mount. The set screw for the magnification ring can rub on the back mount depending on placement. The play of the bolt of the savage allows the bolt to hit the side of the scope when cycling the action. The low mount rings are just a no go with this combo. If you have a vx-2 with a 40mm objective go with the medium rings.

Mostly all that I use are Talley solid mounts. Only reason not to use them is couldn't find them for the model I had in silver. Fit right on rifles and scopes. Never had to lap them for scope or shim them to rifle. They stay tight and right.
Pros:
wide selection of sizes for most rifle to scope match up
Cons:
you'll have to search outside of OP to get the right size
Best Used for:
accurate shooting

I have Talley's on four rifles and they work great. Solid and lightweight, really locks in a scope for alum. Probably the best setup on the market for the money. Will buy again. These will fit any Savage with a round receiver, these were mounted on a ML 10

My first time using these 2 piece Tally scope mounts. They fit perfectly and the scope was very close to being bore sighted without any adjustments. With my Lightweight Hunter from Savage and a Leupold ultralight scope, they are the only way to go. The one piece base and lower ring make sense to me. Would do again.
