Tikka T3x pic base is too long
The base is about 1-2" too long. The issue that is if you put the overhang toward the front, your scope may touch it. If you flip it around to where the overhand end points back to the stock, it can interfere with the scope eyepiece, bolt action, or simply be in the way.
Solid rail

Excellent quality for the price.
I normally steer clear of all but the popular names in components. In the past I’ve found budget products that required work or adjustment to make them usable. Imagine my surprise when a friend recommended Talley pic rail and base for a budget restoration of a Model 722 .222 Rem project. The rail is nicely finished, flat and correctly machined to Pic specifications and to the rifle’s receiver. It actually was better machined and finished then one of the last more expensive rails I used.

Many models of these are cut to standard lengths
that are too long. This product is lazy and cheap. Example: the Tikka 3x version is far too long. It overhangs the receiver by 1.5" or more. I returned this and went with the Warne pic rail which was custom made to the correct length.

Talley Weatherby Rail - Lightweight
Fits my 240 Weatherby Magnum Mark V Ultra Lightweight perfectly (6 lug). High quality and hard to find. Good price and excellent service from OpticsPlanet as usual. Zero MOA for real life hunting situationseason. Also sturdy enough to keep a large scope in place.

Talley Picatinny Base
This is an All steel QUALITY milled base, that fit's properly!
IF you want your scope mounted "low", because of base thickness, be sure to take the base thickness into account when you select your rings.
Every Tally product I've purchased to date, has been of the highest quality and that's what I want to see, as I only want to buy it once!

Quality Part
This Talley Picatinny base does not come cheap. However,it's a quality part, with a smooth anodized finish, that fit and installed flawlessly on my Mark V Ultra Lightweight Magnum (which also did not come cheap).

Excellent base *******
Installed on 30-378wby Mark V. Fit and finish are perfect. Quality hardware included. Lots of room to move the scope front to back. Can't ask for much more here. This is an aluminum product. Also purchased their 20MOA rail, same deal, top quality. Excellent.
