I'm sure it works well in some models, but what models those are, are a mystery. None of the label/packaging/description have any information about which models it is used for, or which models do not work with it. It just says "single stack .22lr pistol vise block" so my Taurus TX22 being a single stacked .22lr pistol, I thought it would fit, but alas, it does not. I'm sure it does it's job ok, for what it is intended, but I imagine a better option is available, maybe. I don't see a mag catch slot to secure it to the firearm, so I give it 4 stars. I've noticed that Tandemkross has great parts, but their packaging leaves much to be desired. Installation instructions are available on their website, and on the specific part's page is a link to a video to install said part. That's tedious, when most could be explained on the packaging, but it is what it is. The parts themselves are pretty great, which are the most important thing to get right.
Would I recommend this vise block? Yes, if it fits your pistol.

I already had one of these tools for AR15, AR10, and 1911. This is the proverbial 3rd hand to get that work done on single stack mag pistols such as Ruger MK I-IV. Very handy and cost effective.

Useful tool!

Vise blocks for the AR10 and AR15 are particularly useful tools because of the size and weight of long guns. I’ve also found that vise blocks for pistols are equally handy as they provide the proverbial third hand. I’ve hand one for 1911 series for some time but ran across this Ruger vise block while looking at other products. Very useful when working on any of the Mk series of firearms.
