Works great. Fits my SAR 1 (Romanian made in Romania) and I will buy another one in the future. The wire that does this job (original equipment) is a pain to reinstall after you take it out for any reason. I bought it because I put in a CMC trigger in my AK. The Tapco part has a good finish on it and seems to be well made.

Fits my WASR10 perfectly. No mods or cuts needed on mine to fit in. Everything aligned well. Trigger pic does not move, nothing wiggles inside. Satisfied. Installation was really easy too. Instructions are provided in case you did not watch any youtube videos.

I received and installed the item and did not have any problems at first, but like another reviewer I wound up having to modify the plate by shaving down the quick removal tab. Additionally, the plate would move side to side inside the receiver due to nothing actually holding the plate against the right side of the receiver. Therefore I had to get a spring with a large enough diameter to fit around the shaft of the safety level so as to ensure that the plate is secured against the receiver at all times. Note, before affixing the spring to the safety level I had some mild pin creep, the hammer and trigger pins would walk outward ever so slightly which cause the hammer to make contact with both the retaining plate and the receiver. Once the tab was shaved down and the spring was installed I had no other issues. I do not think it is a bad part or design per se, just a large variation in configuration and tolerances from one AK to another. The ALG hammer was wider than the OEM hammer which exacerbated the issue.

Works the way it's supposed to. Way easier to install with this. Would have been impossible without this.
