Most Helpful Positive Review Tapco Collapsible Stock Recoil Pad T6 M4
I purchased a S&W M&P 15 OR 811003 5.56 rifle with a collapsible six positio stock. The butt plate has a open hole at the top end (adjusting rod) and rigid dimples. This Tasco Recoil Pad provides outstanding comfort and it fits snug on the butt stock. Pros: Good Fitting Recoil Pad for Specifide Rifle Stock Cons: None

Good Pad for the Money

by Ajax, from LA, United States Written on December 27, 2017
This TAPCO pad does what it is supposed to do. It damps recoil effectively and it helps keep the stock butt in place at your shoulder. It installs easily and stays put, but is easy to remove. Best of all, the TAPCO Collapsable Stock Recoil Pad is less expensive than similar other products that won't do the same job any better.
Pros:
  • Works well. Cheap.
Cons:
  • None

Nice addition to M4 stock

by Eric, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on April 4, 2017
I purchased this product at the same time as a CAA-Cheep Saddle, and they both fit / work well together to allow for more of the but-stock to touch your shoulder pocket when standing and spreads the load nicely on your clavicle when prone. These upgrades to the OE-M4 are high value because they increase the ergonomics / comfort to that of a replacement that would be much more costly...

The only modification I would suggest is wrapping its perimeter (once installed) with electrical take to make it less prone to grabbing and bunching up your clothing. The grip is good on the blackstrap but, needs lessened with tape on the edges to allow for fast transitions...

Tapco T6 Recoil Pad....works like a charm

by TripleB, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on August 19, 2016
Quick and easy to use. Keeps rifle butt from sliding on floors when leaned up against a wall or in truck/bed. Also keeps stock from sliding around in your arm/shoulder area. Fits standard size AR M-4 style stocks just fine and fits SKS telescopic/collapsible Tapco stocks perfect too....well of course....it's for that very stock anyway. Does have a tad bit of weight but it's good rubber and plenty of it. I like it plenty good and works as advertised. Will not fit the smaller butt end on C.A.R. stocks though....to big/tall.

Tapco Collapsible Stock Recoil Pad

by Billy, from TN, United States Written on July 29, 2016
This butt pad is an inexpensive way to improve on the hard plastic stock butt stocks. It easily fit over the butt stock and adds more stability as its rubber texture prevents slippage. It doesn't add much in cushion, but the ar-15's recoil doesn't bother me anyway. It is an inexpensive upgrade, but the price of butt stocks have come down so much, you might as well get a Magpul Moe or CRT. Serves it's purpose well.

Must Have on M4

by BernieU, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 12, 2014
If you use a standard milspec collapsible stock on your AR, you need this simple pad. Tapco makes some of the most practical and affordable accessories and this is one of them. Besides absorbing recoil, it prevents dust from entering the back of the stock where the recoil tube slides within the stock. All my ARs have one of these.

Tapco M4 Rubber Recoil Pad

by shock, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on May 23, 2013
Tapco recoil pad seems functional, but Tapco could have made it to stretch more to fit thicker buttplate or make recoil pads for other types of collapsible stocks.
Pros: Slip on easy
Cons: Only fits thin buttplate

Have multiple brands of AR15, AR10, AK collapsible stocks - Can not fit on all of them! Wish it was more stretchable. Otherwise, seems functional.
Pros: Easy slip on
Cons: Limited to a thin buttplate
