This is a leather backed kydex holster. It is a one piece design unlike many of the sidecar holsters you will find that are hinged in some way. This makes this holster very rigid. you may or may not like that. I thought when I purchased this you could move the clips further out but that isn't possible. Also I would have like to have the spare mag lower in the waist band but as you can see by the pics there is no way to do that. I have one actual qualm with this holster and that is, in the picture, the magazine is oriented in a way that would naturally put the mag in the correct position to reload, but in actuality the mag is designed to be inserted in the opposite direction which requires you to turn it 180 degrees before reloading. This is kind of a big deal and the picture is misleading. Other than that, the holster is very good quality. The leather is SOOO thick! The fit is great and retention is adequate.

I ordered this holster with a couple other items. They came in a timely matter but the holster took almost a month and a half to arrive, and when it did arrive. They sent me the wrong holster

Horrible quality control and finishing. The OWB brackets that come attached had one that was clearly re-drilled…poorly, the stitching had several points where it was inconsistent or not fully seated…like it was the wrong sewing machine for the task, retention is too loose on gun and too tight on mag…with no good way to adjust, and the clips are cheap plastic. Comparing this to any other mainstream hybrid holster it has significant shortcomings. Only thing that saves it a bit is that it’s half the cost…but I don’t think it’s even half the quality. Will be returning.

Beautiful leather stitching and I like the design. The mag carrier has decent retention on my 1911 mags and holds it high to allow me to get a good grip on it. Only thing I would add is a retention screw because there is a little wiggle room around my 1911 and not a lot of retention. I scratched the heck out of the sweat guard on the first holstering. I’m gonna give it a chance
