great Mag release

by Owen, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on September 30, 2025
Quite possibly the best shape for a mag release of all I have. You can get cheaper ones but this is definitely a better quality than ones you get on certain auction sites.

Must Buy Upgrade

by JBC, from IA, United States Written on March 8, 2024
There are plenty of 10/22 mag releases, some worry me with how they look to be flimsy. Or perhaps could get accidently hit while shooting. This is the perfect mix of extra real estate to release your magazine, yet will not get in the way. Further, the design is simple and the final product clearly shows no short cuts were taken. Inexpensive, high quality. Placed it in a 10/22 takedown in the Magpul stock.
Pros:
  • Price, fitment, easy of use
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • All things pewing

Product Photo is incorrect

by donyelo, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on February 22, 2024
The product photo is backwards from the magazine release you will receive. The release lever comes down the front side of the trigger guard and lays right next to the bolt catch. You can still use the bolt catch but you have to be a little more intentional about it.

I reached out to Timber Creek and told them it was machined backwards according to their product photo. I finally called after they didn't respond to my email and I was sent a photo of it installed on one of their 10/22s as proof that it was correct that it was machined correctly. It would be even better if they corrected the photo and description so there were no surprises when it arrived.

I would have added a photo but I don't see that option.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • blocks the bolt catch
