This product will work for you, but you need to have some skills in filing or with a dremel.The part that attaches to the magazine release pin/spring, as well as the fit next to the bolt hold open latch doesn't fit or match the profile of the stock magazine release. With about 20 minutes of grinding/filing it now fits really well. I would go with another option all together, but the hassle to return wasn't worth the effort.

Mag release
Works great. Very smooth, drops mag cleanly. Extended far enough to operate easily but not so far to be in the way

Big improvement over OEM mag release
I gave this 5 stars because it’s a quality product that definitely adds to the usefulness of the rifle. After installing it in my Volquartsen trigger pack, I noticed it was a little snug and didn’t release easily. I then tried it in my son’s 10/22 with the OEM trigger pack and it was snug in that one too. A few minutes with the file and some test fitting and it runs smoothly now. I mention this so those that experience this won’t write it off and toss it. It’s a great release, but like most gun parts, it will require a little fitting. I wish I could post a pic as it looks factory sitting below my Volquartsen trigger pack. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Timber Creek 10/22 Extended X-Large Magazine release
There are a lot of extended magazine releases out there for us 10/22 fans. Most of us agree that one of these is prudent for the serious shooter, the factory release just isn't an ideal design. I'll have to admit I purchased one of these because once installed they are reminiscent of those classic single shot rifle levers, meaning the looks of it sold me on it. However, this thing is kind of cool, your middle finger activates this release without any adjustment/alteration of your grip. And yah, it looks cool!
