I bought this selector for my AR I’m building to my own rifle inspired by the Mk 12 SPR. As a lefty, my options for good selectors that look more like the milspec one while allowing me to use my thumb to change the fire controls is slim. The Timney with the 49 degree throw works great. I barely have to use my thumb to throw it from safety to fire.

The 49ER is the fastest and smoothest safety selector I have. The SOLGW Quick 50 is a close second, and the Radian Talon is a distant third. I will be using the 49ER in all my future builds. They also sell at a reasonably price.

This is the smoothest ambidextrous safety selector in have. I really love it. More expensive than all the others but super smooth & the short throw is fantastic. I definitely recommend & will buy again.

I had done my share of reading and watching videos on this device. It was simple to install and appreciate the crisp selector engagement. The device really comes to shine with shooters with a high grip. My index finger always came into contact and with the new cant in the selector this is no longer an item. The speed and effectiveness of this simple device was a well worth investment and would recommend this to any build.
Pros:
- Accurate adjustments
- constructioin quality
- ease of instalation
- brand name
- effectiveness
Best Used for:
- CBQ
- 3 gun and home defense
- Rapid acquisition.

I replaced another manufacturer's 60° selector with the Timney 49ER. It has been a great improvement. The selector's fit and finish are nice. It has a crisp, positive engagement at "safe" and "fire". I would highly recommend you pick one up if you are in the market for a short throw ambi-selector.

Like their triggers this guy is well built. I like the ambi-trigger to have the same size on each side. Nice big and thick levers make it a clean click. Trigger comes with both spring and little pin.

Nicely machined part. I have a LWRCI system and want to maintain the high standards. The machine work is exceptional, and functions exactly as expected. The 49 degree is something if you have never tried it, you would never know you were missing it. Really slick fast transition on and off safe. The nice touch is to ironically convert from ambidextrous to either side with the use of a blank. This ended up being the option I selected. Now with a high grip the selector lever is not digging into the index finger. A great product from a great company that I would highly recommend.
Pros:
- Finish
- adaptability
- Quality machine work
- Close tolerances
