I have used numerous other rifle cleaning rods over the last 30+ years, and this one is simply the best. Hands down beats all the competitors, including the Deweys I'm retiring after getting this rod! Pros: Roller bearing handle Cons: None

Excellent Design & Quality

This is the second of these cleaning rods I have purchased. The first was a shorter one specifically for my AR. This one is for my other rifles with longer barrels. After using three piece aluminum or one piece plastic coated rods for years I finally took the plunge and spent the extra bucks for these one piece carbon fiber rods. They are second to none in my opinion. The bearings in the handle work flawlessly and allow the patch or brush to follow the rifling precisely. The carbon rod is relatively stiff but still a bit flexible and doesn't leave plastic or aluminum flakes at the chamber if you happen to flex the rod too far while pushing it down the barrel. These Tipton rods are excellent quality and I have no reservations about recommending them!

Haven’t used it yet (no need), but it looks solid. Can’t say anything bad about it. Will update if something changes. It looks really sturdy, solidly built with quality materials.#FJB. Comes in a nice plastic tube for storage. Now I’m just typing more words so I make the 200-character minimum. There, that should do it.

Quality Rod

I bought the Deluxe rod for my 16" barrel 5.56/.223. It was shipped and packaged well. It appears to be made with quality materials and works great. Of course I use this tool with some common sense and don't over stress the rod with significant forces in either push or pull directions. I would definitely buy more of this product in the future. I wish I would of bought the 26" over the 36" for my AR15 16" barrel. Even with a bore guide a 26" with jag would of been fine. I would of liked to have a length between the 26" & 36".

Perfect to protect chamber and barrel/rifleing from cleaning rod damage. Fair price and very well designed and easy to use. My cleaning tools all fit it and it is a very professional piece that fits several calibers 22 to 26.

A must for proper cleaning...A great investment.

Like all Tipton products this one is a must for proper gun care, along with the Tipton Bore guide accessory it makes rifle barrel cleaning a snap, I have used the cheap 3 piece rods for years but i finally got smart. My firearms deserve the best care and Tipton carbon fiber rods are the only way to go...well made, don't flex under heavy pressure, nice grip. a great investment.

This is a great cleaning rod. Packed extremely well. Works perfectly. I don't know how one would improve on this design. I'm throwing away all of my old cleaning rods. I need to order one now for my handguns.

shouldn't have wasted my money buying the other rods !!

Before I buy anything, I like to do research first. I'm mad at myself for Not Buying a Tipton Rod First !!
Now that I've used my Tipton Rod, I ordered a 12" Rod for my hand guns !
