Almost right
USMC/Army Infantry vet here. This is not the ACOG that was used by any unit I was ever in. That would be the TA31F with the chevron. This one is designed for a 14.5 carbine with M855 (62 grain) ammo for the bullet drop compensator. That is why I got it. The chevron is incredibly useful when speed is critical which is where I can see this falling short. I say that because with no illumination I've found it to be a problem when trying to find the reticle on a dark background like a forest where the reticle becomes almost invisible. With that said, if Trijicon put an illuminated dot in the center...

Ol’ Faithful
Man I knew history with acog with the M16 and man still is this optic durable, reliable and accurate. When I first just got it zeroed I got 1 Moa groups at 100 yards with just some crappy m193 out of my regular S&W sport iii. A great choice if you’re looking for a great SHTF optic for your build.

Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight
Optics Planet has fantastic selection of gear and the ACOG did not disappoint
Pros:
- Great optic for target acquisition out to 600 yard
Cons:
- Not optimal for under 25 yards

ACOG's are boss
The 4x ACOG offers outstanding visibilty and allows a shooter like myself to land shots at distances which I'd normally need a higher power rifle scope for. The 5.5 power ACOG was my first Trijicon optic and is outstanding as well.

Trijicon TA01NSN ACOG
This ACOG is the best optic there is for the AR, and the TA01NSN is the best of the best of their line in my opinion. It’s difficult to explain just how hard you’d have to purposefully try to miss using this sight. Spend the money. It’s worth it.

RLV US Army SFC Retired (medically)
The best AR optic I've ever used. We used iron sights during my time at Harmony Church Ft Benning. I wish this was available in 1985. Zero on 3 of my AR's is so close that all 100 meter targets fall. My DD Ar and this ACOG are lethal for coyote to 400 meters here in Colorado
Pros:
- Soldier Proof
Cons:
- $

My dream optic
Waited years for my first Trijicon acog. I got lucky on a sweat killer deal. EOs and AIMs got nothing on Trijicon when it comes to tactical optics. Glass is super clear and has a good wide view. Almost better than my normal vision. Came with pelican, case, lenspen, rail mount. You get what you pay for and this is worth every cent. This is an all around optic for HD, hunt, range, work.

Awesome Optic
This is the exact ACOG I used in the Army for 6 years. It is durable, reliable, and has very clear glass. I know everyone likes the ACOGs with the fiber optic chevron, and I don't blame them, but there is nothing wrong with this version. It is a lightweight alternative to running a 1-4x scope on an AR. Yes, you cannot adjust the magnification, but if you learn to shoot an ACOG properly, with both eyes open, you will see that it can act as a reflex sight or give you some needed magnification for longer distance.

Great sight
OpticsPlanet 100% professional!!!!! Excellent, excellent, excellent. It is hard not to shoot well with this gun sight. For close range the back up sights on top work very well. At 100 yds from a standing or kneeling position you can produce fist size groups if you're in a hurry. If you take your time, you can reduce the group size drastically.
Pros:
- excellent piece of glass
Cons:
- expensive - but worth it

ACOG simple value
This ACOG has great clarity and simple backup iron sights, with night sight insert in the front post. The rear post could be removed and replaced with a Trijicon RMR if one so desired. Great sight, great value, bulletproof!

Fantastic Glass
The glass is outstanding and the Trijicon TA01-NSN housing is basically bomb-proof. This is a good match for front sight base carbines. The eye relief is tight, but if you shoot nose to charging handle, you will not have any problems. Your cross hairs will fade against a dark background when going from light to dark.
