Amazing Clarity
I couldn't find anything on the internet about this bad boy other than Trijicon talking about it at Shot Show 2020 but pulled the trigger anyways. I purchased the MRO HD with full co-witness mount the day it was available on OP. So far it's a very nice optic and the clarity is unmatched. Love the fa...

Ghost Reticle
This sight has an issue where you can see the LED diode or circuit board under certain lighting conditions. Whenever there is a brighter light to the right of whatever you're aiming at you can very clearly see the reflection even if the sight is off. It doesnt happen all the time, as it depends on y...

Trijicon MRO HD
Seems legit. Wasn’t sure it was worth it until I mounted it on the kuna. Compared to the sig Romeo xdr it’s a big improvement, I’d say well worth the extra $$$
Best Used for:
- PCC and AR

2 faulty units in a row
First I bought had several major issues - search “military arms channel mro hd” on google and you’ll see what I mean. Basically, even the unit is off, you can see the reticle, and when it’s on, there’s a square around the whole reticle, you can see the LED inside the unit, and you can see about half the circuit board. Not acceptable for a $750 optic, when I have an old Vortex Sparc that has a better and clearer dot. So I called Trijicon and they said “yes that’s a known issue in some of the units, send it back and we’ll fix you up.” Sent it off, two weeks later get a new one delivered to me. Guess what? SAME ISSUE. This optic is BAD and I recommend that you DO NOT purchase it. Two thumbs down.
Pros:
- None
Cons:
- price
- Clarity
- Reflections
- Reticle not the cleanest with illumination
- Visible circuitry

MRO HD my top choice
This is my 3rd one - love these, they’re tough, long battery life, lots of different settings, Fast target acquisition. Have older eyes, slight astigmatism and have no trouble getting target picture, unlike some other brands. Worth the money.

Trijicon MRO Red Dot HD
Matched with the Trijicon 3X HD magnifier I was impressed with the clarity of the HD dot with and without the magnifier used. Haven’t used it at a distance greater than twenty-five yards so more to follow.I originally had it matched with the Red Dot MRO Patrol and could not focus on the target without the dot getting blurred out. Found out you have to match with the HD version of the dot
Pros:
- good all round
Cons:
- Expensive
Best Used for:
- defensive carbine or tactical shooting
- Target shooting

good quaility
Optic is well built with quality components, good quality glass. Housing is sturdy and seems to hold up well with the degree of “usage” that it sees here.

Great Scope
Performs as expected. Good high quality design and great fit. No issues at all. Top control knob is a plus too.

Love the MRO HD!
I like the original MRO, but I personally believe that the EOTEH EXPS-3-X had a distinct advantage over the single dot MRO. The MRO experienced a minor shift in terms of parallax but was still very effective for quick shots provided you built the check weld muscle memory. The EXPS was still faster. That being said, I LOVE the new MRO HD. Issues with paralax are gone (I don't notice any) and you have the choice of the donut with center dot (very eotechish) or the single dot. The reticle is super crisp. If you look though the lens just right you can barely makeout a small square outline. You have to be looking almost directly into it in the right conditions. In all the time I've looked through it, I've barely seen it twice, and when I do its very insignificant. I mention it only because I saw someone else mention it. It is far superior to the regular MRO. I like it better than the EOTECH now. But the issue is the etch is cheaper since it includes a QD mount. If you want one for the MRO you have to buy it (a QD mount). That being said, I love the shake awake and it's always ready. You will not regret this purchase!
Pros:
- reticle options
- paralax free
- Shake awake
- Crystal Clear!
Cons:
- price (w/no mount)
Best Used for:
- You Know PEW PEW

Much better than the original
Comparing the HD model to the original MRO with 237K serial number, the HD is pretty much parallax free while the original still has very noticeable parallax shift. The reticle is more crisp and the dot itself on the HD is more round to my eyes, the lens is more clear with less tint, although the original is not too bad and still works OK under magnification, but the HD magnifies better than any reflex sight I've tried, very sharp image and super clean reticle and round dot using Vortex Micro 3X and Eotech G45 5X magnifiers. 7075 forged aluminum body is a big plus for durability when even an Aimpoint T2 is 6061, so I would expect the MRO to stand up to some abuse. The infamous circuit board reflection is there when you look for it in certain lighting conditions at certain angles, not a big deal to me, but I understand that it may bother some users. I think it has more to do with the fact that it comes with a circle dot reticle as I notice other sights with a similar reticle such as Holosun 510C also have similar circuit board reflections, and not noticeable on sights like Aimpoint since they don't offer any other reticle other than a standard red dot. To me the biggest minus is the price because I liked it enough to buy multiple for my builds. I have no problem with the circle dot reticle, but would like to see just the dot alone option for less money and potentially more battery life I would assume. Can't comment on the battery life yet as I haven't used these more than 6 mo...
