I think this is a great product that agencies should be looking into for it's officers. The type two is great and the overall size makes this produce a good addition to a duty firearm. This does not need to just be an off duty carry item or for shooting teams. There really is no cons other than the up front cost of the unit but that should not scare you away from this RMR, there are just to many advantages to having it.

I installed this optic on a Glock 19 with a Suarez slide that had been milled for this optic. It performed great for the first 185 rounds. Then the red dot was no longer visible. I could see a thin red horizontal line near the bottom of the sight glass, but no dot. I have back-up suppressor sights, so I know I was looking in the right place for the dot. After a couple of minutes it returned. Then vanished again after firing a few rounds. This happened several times. Each time I stopped firing and investigated the issue, with the dot eventually returning. Then I fired 15 rounds without stopping when it disappeared. It would vanish for a shot, then reappear after another shot. As I researched this, I realized this has happened to a lot of other people. This is on my daily cc pistol. If I can't trust it to be dependable, I'm better off without it.
Pros:
- Increases accuracy until it fails

This is a very good Red Dot Sight. Mounted perfectly on my FNX Tactical. Sighting was pretty quick, a few adjustments and it was spot on.
The gun's front and rear sights are still very capable giving me two options.
Pros:
- Clarity
- Brightness
- Ease of installation and setup
- No on off. Maybe a con for some people but I like not having to have another action item before "ready to shoot."

This is the reason my shooting is better because with this RM02 I was able to concentrate on my issues with the iron sights. I've only used this sight for a couple of months but so far I give five stars. I highly recommend this sight!

The Trijicon RMR RM02 is a very high quality optic and an excellent choice to mount on a S&W M&P C.O.R.E. pistol. This optic will mount on a C.O.R.E. platform with mounting plate "type 1" and screws provided by Trijicon with your purchase; it is a very simple procedure. The optic must be removed to change the battery; the battery is expected to last a year. The optic will cowitness very well obscuring minimal optical sight picture. The optic has a built in gasket seal to protect the electronics. The optic base, mounting plate provided with the C.O.R.E. pistol, and pistol slide form a solid platform that appears to maintain a good seal to the optics base and electronics. I tried the RM63 sealing plate but removed it deciding that the seal is adequately maintained, that the cowitness is better, and that the optic seats more solidly without the sealing plate. The 6.5 MOA dot is easy to pick up and is very crisp; this is a good MOA size choice for defensive application. Under fluorescent light the dot appears slightly flared and grainy but not so much as to impede use significantly; I understand this is due to the optics sensor responding to the pulse frequency of this type of lighting. In low to no light the dot dims accordingly, remaining easy to pick up and crisp. The optic responds very quickly to changes in environmental light. A flashlight or weapon mounted light will render the dot unobservable; I consider this to be the only functional weakness and it appears to...

I mounted this sight to my FNX Tactical. It works as expected. My only complaint is when in a completely dark room with no ambient light the dot can washout when on a light background. I use a Surefire 300x Ultra so it's a pretty bright light. Other than that the sight is awesome.

Works flawlessly with the m&p pro core pistols... Very easy to attach and sight in. Just to reiterate it's specifics, the dot always stays on (it never feels hot even when coming out of a foam case), you can not change the size of the dot, easily adjusts windage and elevation. Great product.

The RMR 02 was the first of my now many RMRs. I have grown to appreciate the always on, no brightness adjustment function. One problem Ive encountered with the adjustable models is they can turn off during use or change brightness from recoil or gun handling (the cheaper Burris fast fires are worse for this) The RMR 02 was my first Trijicon pistol red dot and I retired it and bought an RMR07 after I tried the RMR 02 and did not like the way too bright dot that was not adjustable. I also did not appreciate the lack of an on/off switch. Now after having more time training with pistol red dots I can see the RMR 02s value for competition or conceal carry. No on/off switch or brightness adjustment means it is not likely to auto/accidental adjust or turn off when needed. The overly bright (and hallowed) dot mellows as the battery ages a bit and I know that this thing will perform without fuss when needed. Now the RMR 02 (non-adjustable) and the RMR 04 (battery free) are my preferred units.
Pros: won't be off or too dim when needed, small and lite, clear
Cons: battery replacement requires removal, dot a bit too bright

When I ordered the Open Box - Dealer Demo, I was cautiously optimistic. The RMR Red Dot Sight did not disappoint at all. It was very easy to mount on my FNX 45 ACP Tactical. The sighting-in was a snap. After being all set up, I shot a 14/15 cluster in a 5 inch circle at 25 yards. I would say that was pretty good sighting!
Pros: Easy mounting and sighting-in
Cons: N/A
