Most Helpful Positive Review Quick follow up shots
RM07 is perfect for mounting on pistols. Used on FNX-45T. Also have an RM06 on M&P CORE. I found dot size doesn't really matter for pistol work so get the RM07 or 06. Practically speaking, both put one big ragged hole in paper;) These RMRs make a better, quicker shooter. No more lining up three...

Most Helpful Negative Review Not Reliable
Goes out randomly when shooting or even racking the slide. Comes back on randomly or does not and you have to power the unit back up but again it will go out. Also the auto adjust feature works poorly. Not recommended for home defense. If you are in a dark room and are moving to a lighted area t...

Fragile junk with bad customer service

by David Li, from FL, United States Written on June 5, 2018
I managed to crack the lens of this optic with one solid drop from table height onto tile floor. After sending it to Trijicon for warranty, it took them six weeks to reply with an invoice for over $150 to repair the optic because accidental damage is not covered under warranty. I'm not happy with the level of customer service received nor am I happy with how fragile this piece of junk sight is, especially given Trijicon's reputation with the ACOG.
Pros:
  • Somewhat works
Cons:
  • bad customer service
  • fragile
Best Used for:
  • Paperweight
  • wall decoration
  • nothing - do not buy

Trijicon RMR 6.5 MOA Type 2

by Plain Ol Rick, from CA, United States Written on May 1, 2018
If any finer red dot exists I am unaware! Perfect set up on my Smith and Wesson R8. Optics Planet’s pricing and customer service are second to none. I originally purchased the 3.25 MOA, but realized for quick acquisition the 6.5 MOA was the way to go. Optics Planet gladly exchanged the item. I could not be happier.
Pros:
  • Quick acquisition for quick follow up shots
Cons:
  • none noted

I was bamboozelled

by Johnny D, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on November 30, 2017
This produce failed within two weeks. I mounted the sight on the slide of an m&p 9 and used it for carry optics competition. I sent the sight in for repair at my own cost and they installed update electroncs in it that were not prone to failure. What really irriated me is that this supposed reputable company knowingly sold me a product they knew would fail until it got sent in for upgrade. They wasted my time and money. If you buy one of these make sure you get the upgraded version. The same exact thing happened to my buddy that also bought one.

Trijicon RMR Adjustable Red Dot Sight w/ MOA Dot Reticle

by texasdeputy, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on June 26, 2017
I have "old" eyes. Am a good shooter, but no longer have ability to easily focus rear sight/front sight/target. The 07 "paints" the target so am just focused on target -- with both eyes open. The sight is on a Glock 17 4th gen RMR and is for on-duty carry, almost all at night. The both eyes open tactical awareness is critical, and for me the extra "magic" is in how quickly I can acquire second and third targets. My peripheral vision picks up where I want to go next, and I can just pretty much "snap" to the spot I want.
Battery v no battery: the "dual power" models have no batteries, but when inside a semi-dark building looking out at object(s) in bright sunlight, the tritium dot isn't bright enough, and the fiber optics can't gather enough light to make the dot visible either. With the battery powered, I can set the dot where I want it and forget it.
Ditto for when, at night, I turn on pistol light, going from dark to 600 lumens. The no-battery dual power sight can't handle that, either, for the same reasons.
Haven't had the battery go dead on my yet, but have the co-witness suppressor-height sights for backup. For fastest acquisition, I still think "sights" when drawing and as I do that, when the dot "appears" only then do I shift focus to that. IMO would be a lot tougher to build the muscle memory to quickly pick up the dot without the sights there to get me in the ballpark.
No, the dot isn't too small - if you want bigger, just turn up the brightness. Seems...

Trijicon RMR Great Sight

by PatrickBW, from CA, United States Written on June 11, 2017
This is the second pistol RMR I have used and it came recommended from a friend. The first sight wasn't a Trijicon but a less expensive type that was junk. Also gave up on putting a RMR on my Glock 41 MOS. But after my friend's recommendation and seeing his Trijicon RMR, I gave it a try and wasn't disappointed! The unit is very well made, rugged, and operates easily. Installing it was pretty easy, just had to grind down the provided mountin screws to not go past the Glock mounting plate, you can use spacer washers instead. The only negative is the cost, but that seemed to be an investment in safety and quality, so it wasn't too bad.
Pros:
  • rugged
  • Qualtiy
  • ease
Cons:
  • cost
Best Used for:
  • Pistol

Trijicon RMR07

by Mark Waki, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on June 4, 2017
A good MRD considering it's time on the market. It is the only one that has a sensor to turn the sight on and adjust the intensity automatically and have armor to protect the lens. A near necessity for use on a concealed carry gun. Leupold's DeltaPoint Pro has armor but does't not adjust the intensity automatically.

The RMR07 suffers from a dim dot in bright sunlight. It is very usable when co-witnessed with an iron sight back up to initially line the gun up on the target for immediate reference to the reticle.

Recommended.
Pros:
  • Physically short, good for co-witnessing BUI
  • Protected lens
Cons:
  • Dim reticle in bright sunlight
  • Reticle too bright when facing sun and the target is in deep shadow
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry optical sight

DEPEND ON TRIJICON

by Calishooter, from CA, United States Written on May 15, 2017
Had this unit for about 2 months, put about 1,000 rounds through my gen 3 g19 and no issues. Im running my custom milled slide with a BATTLE WERX plate (HIGHLY) recommend if you go this route.

When I first put this on the RMR was shutting off and dimming. For the glocks that are milled, make sure you have the right one shorter than the left because that is where the extractor rod is. If it is not the shorter screw you will have the same issues. The red dot is crisp and clean. The learning curve takes time to get use to but a day at the range I love this on my g19. WORTH THE MONEY. Also make sure you use Loctite on the screws, you will lose them if you don't use it .

The 2 main cons I would say have to be changing the battery out because you have to take off the red dot to change can alter your zero very slightly and for the price I would think that Trijicon would throw in a anti flicker plate instead of buying one from Battle werx

Will definitely buy another one if I mill out my g17
Pros:
  • Rugged and reliable
  • Eas of use.
Cons:
  • price
  • BATTLE WERX PLATE IS A MUST
  • REPLACING BATTERY

Great sight!

by Nick B., from FL, United States Written on May 15, 2017
What else is there to really say? Same great RMR that has been around for years. Initially I was a little concerned about the people stating they've had some issues with minor flickering when mounted to a pistol slide. I paired it with a Battle Worx anti flicker sealing plate and have not had a single hiccup. Awesome right!

Very impressive

by Stephen, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on May 9, 2017
This product has surpassed my expectations tremendously . When this product arrived and I unboxed it, right away the craftsmanship showed from the pelican style case it comes in to the physical attributes of the RMR . This red dot is way better in every way than I coukd of imagined. Its one thing looking at this item through display cases at the retail store or pictures on websites then physically holding this item and looking thru the lens. Such a great item.
