Most Helpful Positive Review Kill flash review
Delivered as described, the fit was tight on the optic, which is good, I don’t think I could remove the kill flash without breaking it. It’s polymer, but weighs next to nothing. The sight picture with the kill flash is slightly darker than without, as expected.
Most Helpful Negative Review rmr killflash
mine came apart after 100rds. the mesh screen fell out. product would not last in airsoft game. trijicon should know better. if you buy this product remove lower section w/screen and super glue it back together or lose 40 bucks!

Not very well thought out and overpriced for what you get.

I purchased this for a LED RMR thinking that it might work but Optics Planet's description is correct it's just for the Dual Power model. As of my purchase of this killFlash Trijicon's website says its compatible with all models not just the Dual Power. My other concerns are it’s could use a front mounting tab that would keep it from shifting in the front and keep it from coming off completely. I’m afraid with such weak mounting that just a minor bump or brush by a sling could cause it to come off. I'm not thrilled with how dark it seemed to make the field of view. I understand there's not much of a way around that but still worse than I expected. The MSRP on this is a bit high in my opinion too.

Works as advertised

by Sniperpimp, from WA, United States Written on February 25, 2015
Nothin fancy about this. It goes on easily and breaks up the reflection. It looks like it would provide some protection for the RMR as well. I wish the price was a bit lower as this is basically a piece of plastic that didn't necessarily require all that much engineering. I would buy again even though this was more of a want than a need, that is unless they came out with a jellyfish cover for the dual illuminated RMR
Pros:
  • easy installation
  • protects your lens
Cons:
  • cost alot
Best Used for:
  • Tactical Operations

trijicon tenebraex

by JT, from OR, United States Written on October 28, 2014
In my first outing on my FNX45T the bottom of the tenebraex popped off. Went home and glued it back on and no issues since. The scoapcoat I ordered for my RMR fit much better with the tenebraex on than just the RMR by itself. I have the another kill flash for my ACOG and works great. Some people have an issue with brass coming back and striking the glass lens of the RMR. While no reports of this causing damage (RMR is tough) I bought this as an added protective measure. Little spendy for a plastic cover but you can decide for yourself. Also the tenebraex made it easier to initially zero my RMR to cowhitness the irons because of the ability to line up the holes and may or may not provide a more accurate front sight centered aperture for the user. Obviously the RMR is designed for quick acquisition and not accuracy. Again that is speculation and user perception. Is it a necessary accessory? No.
Pros:
  • Ease of use
Cons:
  • price
Best Used for:
  • protection
