Doesn't fit Milspec AR15 upper receiver. it expects the walls near the top of the upper receiver, right below on either side of the picatinny rail, to be narrower than reality, this causes the vice to not close all the way on either end depending on which end you are squeezing on. unusable.

While not the tightest vise block I’ve ever used. For the money it’s hard to beat.

Product came safe and sound packaged nicely by optics planet! The block does a great job of holding your upper in a vice without damaging it. It does a great job of holding the upper very snug. User friendly. Would recommend

Never used or needed one of these until recently. Receiver fit perfectly in this vice block and didnt leave any marks on it. Im not really sure whatelse to say about this as its a pretty simple product with a basic use. This item fits the bill for me and my light use.
Best Used for:
- Free float barrel nut install

It doesn’t hold the Anderson upper receiver or any other receiver I have very well. It does work , just not well at all. It has a lot of play and it makes it hard to torque the barrel nut down. Put the money to a better block.

This Trinity Force Vise Block worked decently and I got my upper together but it did not fit my Bear Creek Arsenal upper receiver very well at all. The vise block seems bowed in at the middle cause it was really tight on my Bear Creek upper. The sides of my upper were left with 8+ scuff marks on the finish. It almost looks like shiny marks compared to the rest of the uppers finish. Im not so happy with the end result visually. I would spend a bit more on a different style of upper receiver vise block or maybe just try a different brand.
Pros:
- Cheap
- Sturdy
- Got The Job Done
Cons:
- Bad Fit On Upper Receiver (Bear Creek Arsenal)
- Left 8+ Marks on Upper (Bear Creek Arsenal)
- Mating Faces Not True/Bowed
Best Used for:
- Budget builds Beware possible scuffing of upper receiver finish.

The two pieces do not close around the upper receiver flush (on a very standard mil-spec S&W). There's an apparent warp in the pieces right out of the box, it has about a 3/8" gap/wiggle from top to bottom. I did put it in a vise then clamp the top portion with a C-clamp to squeeze the gap, and it just felt wrong so I did not proceed with a barrel nut change. Ended up borrowing a friend's more expensive block and it fit perfectly. Get what you pay for here, definitely better off spending more for a quality hinged type block, especially if you're going to be using it more than once or twice in your lifetime.

The vice block arrived on time and in excellent condition. It works as advertised holding upper firmly allowing for correct gas tube placement and barrel attachment. It is a tough durable material that will serve it purpose for years to come.
