Easy to put together and throws the clays very well. You will need to secure it somehow or it moves.

The Trius one-step is a great clay thrower to help you develop your shotgun skills. The price from OpticsPlanet was unbeatable along with quick delivery.

I'm not a pro at this, but going from tossing clays by hand, to using this. Night and day! 100% recommend if your getting into blasting clays with your shotty.
Once you get it put together it's really simple to adjust angle, tension, and release. Just bolts together, the instructions are easy enough to follow.
You can set this to really steep angles or low, also it didn't break/chip away any of the clays it has thrown (thus far) for me. Which I've used cheaper ones in the past that would chip/break clays 50% of the time. Also this is very consistent with keeping the clay going pretty much straight out in-front.

Having just scrapped a Champion Wheelybird because the motor failed I decided I needed something simpler and more reliable for my practice. I had never heard of the 1-Step and happened to stumble across it while searching Amazon. The reviews were outstanding and after watching a video showing the cocking procedure I figured I'd give it a try. Optics Planet was the only place I could find it in stock at a reasonable price and being a longtime customer I placed me order. When it arrived it needed some assembly, which was fairly straight forward if you follow the instructions. After assembly my only concern was how far it would throw a target with what seemed like a minimal amount of effort. My concerns were unfounded as the first trip to my practice area resulted in throws that were consistently 45-55 yards. What I thought might be a problem, stepping on the charging pedal to launch a bird, turned out to be a benefit as it keeps you from mounting your shotgun before the bird is released resulting in more realistic shots. This is a machine that should last a long time and if something ever does wear out it should be simple and inexpensive to repair. If you are looking for a trap machine I highly recommend the Trius 1-Step, I couldn't be happier with mine.
Pros:
- simplicity
- Ease Of Use
- function and design

Well built and very useable solo. No disappointment with the little thrower. Very impressed with the sturdiness and functionality. Love the thing. Easy to transport, setup and use alone or with others.

Great target thrower. I read the reviews and the biggest complaint was assembly. I watched the assembly instructions by Trius on you tube and the assembly took only about 20 minutes Easy. Thrower works great, height is adjustable and the best thing is you can shoot and operate it by your self. It also throws singles and doubles. I have thrown about 300 targets with it and all went flying and not one broken target. Highly recommend this thrower and also got the best price from Optics Planet.
Pros:
- You can have a great time shooting alone
