Is there a risk of stripping? Yes. Can you avoid it? Yes. You can try removing some of the red loctite to make it easier to turn in, or just use a wrench set that has one of those large plastic turning handles to get the best purchase on the screw. Fit the safety into the lower, and even trying to tighten the small screw for the ambidextrous side stripped out before it was fully tight. Had to drill out the screw head to remove the safety from my gun. Not only that but when the safety was in the action was sloppy and loose. Ended up buying geis...

My go-to safety select
Fantastic quality for the price. Snaps back and forth from safe to fire like a flash. Perfect that the one side is smaller than the other, so it doesn't rub against finger. I don't think you will be disappointed. As other have pointed out, do take care with the screw.

To much lock tight
On my screw there was lock tight. Before I could tighten the screw all the way ended up stripping it. Had to drill it out. Another customer hnd the same experience of having to drill it out. I would suggest buying a safety that doesn't use a screw. Also as a left hand shooter I would not recommend because the long side sill digs in to your hand

Excellent Selector
Another quality product from Troy Industries! Easy to install and the design works great. Right side lever is small enough to stay out of the way of right handed firing while being large enough to move selector switch with ease.

Good but be careful.
I’m a big fan of the Troy brand and this was the last of the Troy parts for my AR build. Installation was pretty smooth until I started to install the countersunk screw and STRIPPED. Fortunately my local gunsmith had the exact replacement screw. I recommend removing the red loctite from the factory.

Easy peasy
Easy install smooth selection, no issues. Nothing else to say, idle you want a nice ambi trigger setup this is a great selection. This or the radian is where it’s at. Fast and easy shipping, I appreciate that OP is actually getting stuff out so quickly considering the times.

Great Ambi Safety
Bought this to install on an AR that did not come with an ambi safety. Really like the quality of the construction, and while I am right handed, sometimes having that somewhat smaller right side safety comes in handy for weak-hand starts in competition.
