Most Helpful Positive Review Troy Folding sights
These sights are perfect for a back up iron sight. They fold all the way down and are easy to deploy. On many modern ARs with all the fancy optics there are no fixed iron sight back ups so what happens if your $1000+ optic breaks? That's right, you are out of luck unless you have a quick deploy b...

Most Helpful Negative Review Poorly designed
The purpose of 45 iron sights is to run a scope with them. If you use them at the furthest mounting point on the right side like any right handed person would do they will touch the charging handle on a ar-15 while folded down. If you move them forward one slot then you put your scope at a long ey...

Poor Design, not worth the money

by Chris, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on October 22, 2025
I thought that purchasing a product from Troy would ensure a solid product but I couldn’t have been further from the truth. The design is what really got me. First the button to flip the sight up is on the left, the same side as the scope. I need to work my fingers in between the scope and sight in order to flip it up. There’s also a ton of play when it is in its locked position. It isn’t “deployable”, so doesn’t flip up on its own when you hit the unlock button. This isn’t necessarily a deal breaker, but would be nice for paying 250$. I bought a pair of leapers utg offset sights that were a third of the price and in my opinion much better sights. I was definitely caught off guard with this one… smh

Although they are a bit pricey. You get what you pay for. Why would anyone attach inferior sights on a weapon. I can zero these with confidence that they won’t fail me when it counts. Not for those none military who just want to look cool. Serious users only

  • Easily accessed
Cons:
  • NONE !!

by Char, from NM, United States Written on February 24, 2021
I purchased these for my ar10, and they've been great so far. A little tight to get on, but they stay stable. The spring is also stable. No rocking or clicking when it's in motion. Plus it always keeps its zero.
Pros:
  • Tight. Stable. Keeps zero.
Cons:
  • A little tight to get on.

Daniel Ster

by Daniel Ster, from OH, United States Written on September 24, 2020
My Iron sites arrived pretty quickly, they were easy to switch from left to right and mounted easily . I haven’t had a chance to take my AR to the range to zero them in yet as I just got them today. They are of sturdy construction and flip up and down easily
