Looks nice but totally useless, otherwise. Sealed in box without a mounting screw to attach it to a rail.

Great iron sight and high quality. The standard for iron sights. Easy install and very intuitive.

These rear iron sights are an excellent choice. The design might be tight if a rail is out of spec, but the rail attachment type is the sturdiest style they could have chosen, and it spreads compression evenly to both sides of the sight, increasing precision by keeping it perfectly centered. The back-sweeping design places the sight further back, providing a slightly longer sight radius than a fore-swept design like Samson's. The aluminum body's thick, matte, hard anodization matches the finish on the aperture, and neither are shiny/reflective, making for a good sight picture regardless of bright light from any angle.
The sight is also on the lighter weight end of fixed iron sights.
If you are considering an aftermarket aperture (say, tritium), beware that the sight body is not compatible with and does not use a standard mil-spec a2 aperture piece. Their openings are the same size and function in the same way, but the piece is designed totally differently.
Pros:
- light weight
- Sturdy
- Precise
- great finish
Best Used for:
- AR15 & AR10
- iron sight
- primary sight

Very sturdy once mounted! Mounted easily and is the right height. I like the "A1" style sights much better than other offerings. Simple, not many moving parts, and what seems like a durable finish. Thanks for fast shipping, especially these days!

The Troy Rear Fixed BattleSight is probably my favorite fixed rear sight. It is a robust, stable and secure platform. The windage knob is flush with the outside of the sight, making it less likely to get moved. The apertures are same-plane so there is not a shift in zero when changed. Installation is easy. Remove the tensioning bolt, slide it on from the rear, and install tensioning bolt in the first Picatinny slot and tighten the bolt. The Troy Front Fixed Battlesight HK style is a good mate for a front sight. Priced right for a metal sight.
Pros:
- made of metal
- Solid / no movement or wobble
- Quality & Affordable
Best Used for:
- AR-15, AR-10 rifles or pistols

Bought this as fixed rear sight on ar carbine w/ A2 front sight block. Excellent quality. Very easy to adjust for zeroing windage. Great lower cost alternative to the Daniel Defense fixed rear iron. Excellent sight picture through either aperture. Locks up very tight on pic rail. Just buy it.
Pros:
- Price, sight picture, weight

As I said in my review on the HK Style, fixed Front sight, I have always liked Troy folding BUIS. This fixed rear sight gives me that same functionality in a minimal package. I might try their 2nd gen next time but am very happy with this sight. The shipping was great as always from Optics Planet.

Top notch construction and an obviously high quality product. Allows you to use the large and small rear aperture without a shift in zero. This sight was easy to zero and the windage adjustment appears to be rock solid. Installed easily and provides a lower 1/3 co-witness with optic equipped with typical AR riser.

Product shipped as advertised it is a little smaller than I wanted but works just fine none the less. I originally wanted one from midwest industries but the sight was discontinued. It is a great fixed rear sight and zeroed nicely and seems to be well built and sturdy it has held up to the abuse I have put it through so far
