Having read other reviews here, I am just going to say I am more than impressed with this rail. You can tell a lot of thought went into the engineering and manufacturing of this product from Troy. I was looking for an option to grip my rifle at or forward of my A2 FSB and have additional rail space. I have a Colt LE6920 and did not want to hack parts off or otherwise permanently alter the stock configuration of the rifle. This is a significant upgrade to a Colt.
I was a little concerned that the built-in 1913 rail on the underside of the rail that it would be uncomfortable in my support hand. My plan is to run a AFG on this section anyway, but I also wanted to be able to run it plain-Jane if needed. The rail is not uncomfortable in hand and actually provides index points for my grip. The built in 1913 rail on the underside is an ingenious engineering feature to compensate for extra space necessary to clear the bayonet lug and sling attachment point of the FSB.
Installation was a breeze and took about 15 minutes, being extra careful. The only tool needed to install is the provided allen key. My front sling swivel had already been removed, so I'm not counting that into the equation. Be prepared to use a little blue locktite also. The instructions are pretty simple to follow and the only thing I would change on that is to dry fit first with all screws attached before you put the thread locker on the screws.
