Most Helpful Positive Review Extremely Comfortable
I installed the 13 inch version on a 16" mid-length rifle. It was easy to install once I was able to remove the existing hardware on the barrel. I would suggest an action block, some PB blaster,barrel nut wrench, and the proper punches to get the FSB off. The supplied barrel nut wrench works perfectly for the Troy barrel nut, but it not the correct size to remove the existing barrel nut. Once you have the Troy barrel nut installed, you simply slide the rail over the barrel and twist it into place. There is a firm and distinct snap. So far, the hand guard has not shown any sig...

It's light weight and well made. Not thrilled about the way it clamps on to the barrel nut but it seems to be holding up.
Pros: Weighs a little over 9 oz.

STRX-ELI-C8BV-00: Troy VTAC- TRX Viking Rail - 9in - Black

I have assembled several rails from other manufacturers, all have their own idiosyncrasies. This rail is very easy to setup, and even comes with its own mounting wrench. The final assembly can be made more permanent using blue or red loctite, and can be removed relatively easily for future changes.
Pros: Ease of assembly, adaptability to multiple other accessories
