Decent Red Dot
This red dot brings nothing new to the market, however it brings simplicity, which is always a good thing. For example, it uses a AAA battery which can be found literally anywhere. So it’s great to have at least one optic in our line up that has this feature, especially at a price that’s affordable.
It doesn’t have the current market standards and trends such as auto on/off, solar panels, auto brightness features etc. But it provides a 2 MOA dot, decent glass, clear red dot with an emitter that doesn’t protrudes too much into the sight picture.
Other than that, that’s pretty much all you get, just an average red dot optic. The mount that comes standard is awful, so changing that to a duty grade mount in my opinion is mandatory, should you use this optic on a defensive weapon.
The mount flew off after my first range session, but after I swapped it out for a Midwest Industries t1 mount, I fired 2,300 rounds of 556 and maintained zero.
If you want an optic thats affordable, uses AAA batteries and accepts one
of the most common mounting options available. Grab one of these as a backup, it won’t hurt the bank.
